Come home after a fun-filled day of adventure in the San Juan Mountains to this charming, Victorian-style home conveniently located in Ouray. Complete with a front porch, a perfect place to take in the breathtaking views, sip your morning coffee, and relax.
This home is located in Ouray's National Historic District and one block from Main St.. Originally built in 1875, this home offers the best of both worlds: a piece of Ouray's Victorian history and all the modern conveniences you could wish for after an extensive remodel. There are two queen beds on the main floor. Both
bedrooms have ceiling fans. The living room offers comfortable seating , as well as a gas fireplace. The couch in the living room pulls out into a bed that sleeps 2.
The kitchen is well-equipped (gas stove, oven, refrigerator, ice maker, dishwasher, garbage disposal, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, blender, food processor, place settings, pots, pans, cooking utensils, and much more) so you can conveniently cook at home during your stay. There is a washer and, dryer too. The first-floor bathroom has a beautiful walk-in, tiled shower.
The master bedroom is located upstairs in the loft. I refer to the master bedroom as a loft since it does not have a door to close, but the only opening is the size of a door frame that faces away from the rest of the living space, so as to offer relative privacy. The master bedroom has a queen bed and a private bathroom with a clawfoot tub with a shower attachment. A private balcony facing east is accessed from the master bedroom. The balcony is a beautiful spot to enjoy breakfast
or sit in the evenings.

Very nice place. Clean and cozy. Loved the historic feel of the home. Only thing I would mention is the living area could use an ottoman or two, or a couple of recliners. But the property had lots of charm and was accommodating. We loved it.

This house comfortably fit our family which includes me, my husband and two teenage boys. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The best part of the house is the location as it is an easy/close walk to restaurants/shops on main street and to Box Canyon. We also appreciated that they allow dogs. Perfect place for a Ouray visit!

Very comfortable convenient place for a group or family to stay in Ouray. Walking distance to restaurants, shopping, and the hot springs. We loved the large kitchen area and the porch seating to take in the views!

Unbeatable location

The location of this property was perfect. We were located a block from Downtown and were able to walk to shopping, dinner and drinks with ease. Was our first trip to Ouray, and it didn’t disappoint. Amazing views just sitting on the front porch and we had deer walk past the house all three night we were there.

Beautiful Vbro & Great Location

Plenty of room for our group of five. The house has no A/C but an array of fans, & plenty of trees for shade. The W/D was a great bonus as well. We were two blocks from the main street, so leave the car parked and walk uptown for shopping & restaurants.

Very nice location and overall clean. The one draw back is the pullout sofa bed. It has a large depression in the middle. He only slept on it one night before he got a hotel because it hurt his back.

Holiday Fun w family

We enjoyed a holiday gathering of our Colorado family. We enjoyed family meals, soaking time at Twin Peaks Hot Springs, a 3 minute walk. I would list this house as a 3 bedroom w a pullout couch in living room. Thank you for thick towels, Kleenex and paper towels.

Needs a good cleaning and updating

I believe this home gets a false rating because in the packet of information in the home it insinuates that you will receive a $20 gift card to Starbucks for any 5 star rating. That just is not right. People rely on these ratings. The place needs a thorough cleaning throughout. The furniture is old, outdated and uncomfortable. My night stand did not even have wood on the front it was missing and the other room the table was about ready to fall apart. All of the bath towels we were to use we all very damp so we had to wash them and dry them ourselves. The bathroom rug was disgusting. The bathroom upstairs in the loft is not one you can get ready in as there is no mirror (a very tiny one on the wall that is unusable to get ready in front of right next to the toilet). The picture they took of it cuts that off so you can't tell. The listing states they supply paper towels and there was less than a quarter of a roll left for us and no extras. They also have no extras at all for the kitchen such as plastic wrap. The soap dispensors were not filled. They should also learn to clean the top of the refrigerator! It seems as though a corporatoin owns this home and you can tell it. I will say the one plus it had going for it was the location. Very walkable to the downtown. The property just needs to do a good deep cleaning and replace disgusting rugs when they look so dirty. We have stayed at many of places and this one didn't seem worth the price paid or the ratings it has.

perfect location for ouray

re engineered older house in downtown ouray. walking distance to all restaurants and stores. quiet street one block off main street. deer came up to yard every night to eat grass. 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. the upstairs bathtub had an air hammer sound so we didn't use it. the heat worked fine but the gas log fireplace wouldn't lite. great kitchen with everything we needed and the front porch was a great place to sit and watch the sunset over the mountains. would stay there again.
