(The bacon was a bit salty though.) The spa staff were knowledgeable and especially helpful with avoiding allergens like nuts and dairy. The Eminence products used in my facial smelled really nice! We booked a reservation at the hotel restaurant. There was a quite a long wait for our food at dinner. The waiter was nice though. Our room was comfortable except for two things: we found a large bug in the bathroom and the toilet was not flushing from the first night and was leaking from its base onto the floor. The in-room hot tub was great and the bed, bathrobe and slippers were cozy. The outdoor grounds were pretty but the walking trail was not well-maintained as there were branches constantly blocking the path which you had to physically move. The trail is about ten minutes and leads to a road. To get back to the hotel, you need to turn around and go back the way you came. There’s a McDonalds close by the hotel, but if you want to eat something else, you’ll have to drive to another nearby city like Woodstock. If you’re looking for a relaxing spa getaway in nature, you will probably enjoy Elm Hurst."
