We came only because of a delay in our flight from Vavau to Tongatapu. But the short stay was so amazing. The hotel operators were very nice and kind, and helped accommodate our last-minute changes due to the flight uncertainty. We will come back again in future to watch the whales!

Staff were very helpful and good snorkelling right out front. Pick up for whale swimming off the wharf was handy as it saved a trip to those operators

Quiet, calm, and relaxing
Such a calming location on the waterfront. I enjoyed looking out to the harbour every day. It made going for a swim very easy. The hosts were warm and welcoming, and helped me with anything I needed. The house was well equipped with everything. Thank you! Would definitely stay again!

"We had an amazing 3 night stay at Mala resort.
This family run accommodation is a great location within the Vava’u island group. The rooms are comfortable with spectacular views. With wifi in the common areas, it’s a great space to digitally detox while still being connected :) The hosts are so friendly and welcoming, happy to help with any request.
