Ortiga Hotel & Travel Guide

Thinking about exploring Santarem? If you're looking to get a feel of the city, research places to stay which are right near downtown Ortiga. Ortiga boasts 2 hotels within easy driving distance of its central area.

The Solar de Alvega is the nearest accommodation to the middle of Ortiga and the sole Travelocity-listed place to stay located within a short drive.

The LAM Club is around 19 miles (30 kilometers) outside the center of Ortiga. An alternative accommodation option is the Quinta do Ribeirinho, which can be found approximately 7 miles (11 kilometers) away. Some other possible places to rest your head include the Alamal River Club and the Hotel Amoras.

Planning to venture a little further afield? Centro boasts a number of options to check out. Centro is well known for beaches, coastal plains and forests, and other popular tourist sites include ruins, castles and traditional villages. Common things to do in this pocket of Portugal include mountain biking.

Are you looking for things to do? Spend a few hours checking out Convento de Cristo and Praca da Republica, which can be found in Tomar, 20 miles (34 kilometers) to the west of Ortiga. A few Travelocity-recommended Tomar accommodations include the Hotel Dos Templarios and Residencia Santa Marta. Or, you could stay the night in Fatima, 35 miles (55 kilometers) west of Ortiga, where you can choose from the Lux Mundi and Dom Goncalo Hotel & Spa. When you stay in Fatima, a couple of places to add to your itinerary are the Wax Museum and Church of the Most Holy Trinity.

If you are interested in sport and enjoy the thrill of local games be sure to spend some time at Estadio Cidade de Coimbra, situated 55 miles (87 kilometers) to the northwest of Ortiga. Wise travelers wanting to stay in the area around the game can read about the Quinta Das Lagrimas or the Tivoli Coimbra.
