Was nicely remodeled, room was basic but clean. Our room was by the elevator which is always concerning to me being a light sleeper, however didnโ€™t hear a thing. Freshly baked cookies in afternoon was special, outdoor fire pits nice touch. Breakfast was great and what they had was good quality. Would definitely recommend.

Family and I stayed at River Inn at Seaside this weekend. There were 5 of us. When I booked the stay I made sure there were enough beds. It appeared in the description on Expedia that there were 3 beds. We had a King Suite. When we arrived, we saw that there was one king bed. There was a pull out couch in the room with the bed. The mattress was very thin. I could literally feel the coils from the couch through it. It also had some black spots on the underside that appeared to be mold. The living area had a couch that pulled out into a trundle bed. This wasnโ€™t what we were expecting, but we made the most of it. I went down to the front desk to ask if they possibly had an additional mattress I could use to put on top of the other so it would be more comfortable. I have health issues and am in a lot of pain so I wanted to try to minimize additional discomfort. I first mentioned that when I booked the room I was under the impression there was more than one bed. The man at the front desk (I didnโ€™t get his name he was there Sunday at 4pm) said that it had 3 beds. I tried to explain and his response was a blank stare. I asked for an additional mattress (these are the very thin kind) and he said they donโ€™t just have those lying around. I asked if we could get one from a vacant room. He said itโ€™s summer, there are no vacant rooms. Good customer service would have gone a long way. Had he shown empathy or car

perfect location, with perfect amenities

The location is excellent and the hotel is just right. Service was welcoming and friendly, with great amenities like Laundry and Breakfast! Highly recommend! We were travelling the coast, and this was the refreshing stop we needed!

Peaceful vibe (and view) on the river vs. the crowds in town and the beach area. Bikes to use for free, plus a great BBQ and fire pit area for snacks and drinks and hanging out. Centrally located with an easy walk a few blocks to the tourist area / beach, and a few blocks the opposite direction to the locals area like bagels, banks, groceries, etc. or 101. One block walk to the convention centre, swan boats, etc. Seaside is great for famiies. The staff at the hotel make it feel personal vs. feeling corporate.

The front desk staff were very nice. The maid service didnโ€™t exist. We asked for products that were empty in the room and never got them. The maid never came into change towels we requested. On the last day before we checked out around 9:00, the maid finally came into the room while I was dressing and she never knocked. Very uncomfortable and unprofessional.
