Having difficulties walking, the owner came to my car and helped bring my bags into my room. He owns an Indian restaurant next door. The food is superb.

Passable cheap hotel stay for a night or two. Our room was clean on the surface level, but overall was in disrepair. Carpet floor was heavily soiled and just felt gross. Extreme mold in the AC unit, almost unbreathable when on. Mold inside the shower faucet and handle. If you need a cheap stay, this is fine...barely. Reminds me of the slumlord special, you really get what you pay for. Staff was pleasant but whoever owns/maintains this place should be fined by the health inspector for the extreme levels of mold in the AC units.

Clean. Unfortunately the windows don’t have room darkening shades, the bed was old and uncomfortable. Room service came in after I asked them not to with the Do not disturb sign in the lock clearly presented, only to have to tell the nice person to leave as my fiance was in the shower and about to come out naked. Not good for more than a one night stay.

The first room they gave us smelled of smoke and wasn’t cleaned - towels in bathroom on floor and garbages full. They quickly and kindly gave us a new room that was clean and smelled better.

It was a very nice one night stay. Nice breakfast lunch place right across the street. Good coffee. I believe the name was the Kettle or Tea Kettle. A beautiful farm stand right next door. Just 3 minutes drive to the Main Street of Old Saybrook.

Rick, front desk clerk was courteous, polite and friendly. The fridge didn’t get cold enough and spoiled a couple of my food items but the freezer worked well and I had the remodeled room. Also, the tv had limited channels & they didn’t offer decaf for the coffee maker but for the most part I enjoyed my stay.
