I stayed here in Nov 2024 and Jun 2025. This property is so beautiful. There is long term construction right next to the property so there is noise during the day. Everything was perfect to have a relaxing time.

若いスタッフが一生懸命少人数で工夫して宿を運営している姿に好感が持てました。古民家の別棟を家族６人で利用。和室2部屋とベット2つが置かれた部屋がありトイレ2つ。洗面所3つ冷蔵庫2つが設置されている。食事も別棟内に用意してくれる。お風呂は予約制で数歩外を歩く必要があり天気の悪い日や足腰が弱い人は利用しづらい。他の客には一切会うことなくプライベート感を味わえる宿でした

Yufuin Ryokan Seikoen
The staff were so polite and the accommodation provided a true Japanese experience. The included dinner (kaiseki) and breakfast (Japanese style) wearing our yukatas were true highlights. The family private onsen was also pretty special.

Yufuin Baien Garden Resort
Beautiful, traditional Japanese style rooms provide an authentic experience. We enjoyed the breakfast. They did their best to accomodate my wife's gluten free diet needs. The family onsens were a nice option for privacy.

Arrived around 1245 pm and noticed nobody was at the ryokan. Searched the facility and noticed unkept rooms and the kitchen was filthy

Are you organizing a trip to Kumamoto and looking to get basic or more upscale accommodations in Oguni? There are a small number of options waiting to be booked through Travelocity's destination page. The Tsuetate Kanko Hotel Hizenya is the nearest Travelocity-listed room to the central area of Oguni and is only a short drive away.
The Aso Resort Grandvrio Hotel can be found 16 miles (26 kilometers) outside the main part of Oguni. Another accommodation option is the Aso Plaza Hotel, which is located about 12 miles (19 kilometers) away.
