Delights await beyond the room door

What a pleasant surprize!! What on the outside looks like a quaint or should I say cute, motel, is full of delightful upgrades once you open the room to your door. Its like staying in a friends guestroom. There is nothing moteley about this place. If ever in the area again, this is my go to place.

The room and service was nice and the location was close to downtown ocala ,but the smell of cigarettes and smoke was strong and over powering . The bed sheets smelled bad and the restroom was not that clean . The cleanliness could use alot of work. My suit cause and clothes still smelled like cigarette when i got home from the room.

Its a really sweet and quaint place. Low key. In walking distance to a couple restaurants, however on a busy road. It's perfect a place to rest after a day of activities. No amenities. Not recommended for those traveling with children.

Nothing really fancy, but the place was nice, clean, comfortable and quiet until around 2:00 a.m. At that time we heard voices and laughter outside our window that got louder by the minute. After about 30 minutes, we tapped on the window. They acknowledged the taps and left our window area. We then finished our good night's sleep. Thanks. :-)

Bed was memory foam, so that was good, the mini split kept the room nice and cool. Nice to have a fridge, kept our water cold. However, there was a hair in the bed, and the sink had toothpaste from a forner guest brushing their teeth. I also had to ask for towels as there were none. I would say of you are staying for a night, it is fine, easy access to "historic" downtown, and comfy bed. Jist needs to syep up on tje cleanliness.

Location is an easy walk to downtown which gives plenty of shops and dining. We were in room #5 which has a peeling re-surfaced tub with rust. Definitely like stepping back in history needs updated or a lot lower price

Although there are signs of renovation and we could see they are trying, they still have a way to go. The curtains did not even remotely keep out the light, the TV wasn't getting a signal, there was no electric outlet in the bathroom and I had to move the mattress to get to an outlet to charge my phone. My bathroom had new tile but my son’s room did not and it was very dirty looking. The bathroom is so small, the toilet roll holder was pressed into my side. All that said, it is an historic inn, so renovation options may be limited. And they are trying with water and snacks in the room, great towels and tasteful decorations.

Very cute clean comfortable room that lots of thought went into decorating! The front desk folks were super nice too and it's in a relatively quiet part of downtown. I really enjoyed my 2 night stay and would recommend it.
