Pros: The staff, parking and proximity to the ferry
Cons: Cleanliness, replace and or repair aging, dreary furniture. The room smelled of smoke.
Location: Fox Theater, ferry to SF, many restaurants, Broadway.
The staff was great, but the facility was in disrepair and smelled of smoke. The room was not very clean. Although I felt safe there, and the parking was easy and safe, I can not recommend the hotel. It is too bad as the staff was friendly and helpful, and the location is good for many activities.

Appreciated

Pros: Good location to Jack London Square and other points of interest.
Location: Had some really cool places to eat and drink. Close to the highway and downtown Oakland.
I had a nice stay at this hotel. The front staff was amazing. Enjoyed speaking with Barbara and getting valuable information about the area.

Close to Amtrak

Cons: Telling the truth.
The hotel staff said they would pay taxi fare to take my wife and I to the station. However, when arriving at the train station the driver said no arrangement had been made.

Unexpectedly nice room close to Jack London Square

Pros: I loved the proximity to Jack London Square, the bed, and the cleanliness of the room.
Cons: The room rate could be reduced. The parking garage should have wider spaces but that's not going to change.
Location: The Inn is walking distance from Jack London Square. So, if you plan a night of "partying" at Jack London Square, this is a good place to stay.
This was my first time staying at The Inn at Jack London Square and I was pleasantly surprised by the room. It was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The room smelled nice but the scent was a *little* strong. It didn't bother me, even though it was noticeable. Those sensitive to this sort of thing wouldn't like it or might even get a headache. I imagine leaving a window open to ventilate the room would solve this nicely. The main downside was the cost. The room was overpriced AND the rate didn't include parking. Parking is extra, so please be aware of that. However, you do get to park in a covered garage. The spaces are a bit "tight" so BE CAREFUL when parking so you don't scratch your car or anyone else's.

Close to numerous restaurants, waterway and ferry.

Check-in was easy. Staff was helpful. Room was decent. Grounds were lovely. Area was just a little sketchy.

Fantastic hotel

Pros: Everything was great. There was nothing that i did not like.
Cons: Can't be improve any further, great place
Location: Close to bars, marina and make sure you have breakfast at a grill called Butter Cup which is right next door to the hotel.
If FANTASTIC doesn't say it all than i don't know what will. Great hotel, very clean, beds nice and comfy. Bathroom clean and has plenty of towels. Staff were wonderful. Our second stay at this hotel in 3 years and would always come back here. Best hotel in the area.

Nice hotel in a nice area

Pros: Great staff, nice diner attached for breakfast and other meals. Very good location.
Location: Oakland Chinatown, embarcadero and business center all nearby. Good transportation with free bus running Broadway. BART 8 blocks away (take free bus)
Hotel is older but great location near Oakland embarcadero. Lots of restaurants, easy access to BART. Hotel staff is wonderful and helpful.

Location was very good.

Pros: Location and parking and security
Cons: The hotel has no control over things past their own doorsteps, so they are fine. I don't go out at night anyway.
Location: Nice walking area with restaurants all over.
I was there to visit grandkids and the location was good for them and for me. Not close to their house, there were restaurants near me and they were happy to come visit me. Parking on site was important to me and security ws good. Room had spacious bathroom, nothing fancy but serviceable and comfortable for an overnight visit. I awoke to a farmers market so before heading out to return the visit with them, I picked up some fresh fruit and veggies. It as hard to decide. For an overnight stay, I recommend it.

Too small!

room was way too small, somehow the picture made it look normal size. the bathroom was ridiculously tiny. you can touch all four walls while sitting on the toilet. do not stay here, its WAY overpriced.
