The cleanliness was amazing. Staff was very cool. We ended up staying an extra 2 nights. The security guard was very friendly. We talked with him for like 45 mins. Very convenient to Berkeley. Easy to Uber to eat. Views were lovely.

I was given an accessible room, even though I did not request or need one. Unfortunately, it was uncomfortable for me. Additionally, there was a continuous noise coming from the refrigerator throughout the night — not just a typical mechanical sound, but more like the sound of running water — which repeatedly disturbed my sleep. I usually stay at this hotel whenever I visit Berkeley, and most of the time, my stays have been very satisfactory. However, this time was the most disappointing experience so far.

Fine hotel with poor policies for loyalty.

Good hotel, fairly modern. But they don't offer loyalty program if you purchase through an aggregator like Hotels.com. Great way to start a trip is piss off your customers.

Stayed here previously & was pleasantly surprised. Same thing this time. Grounds are well taken care of. Room was clean & comfortable and pretty quiet even though the freeway is near. Great view of San Francisco from the balcony.

Don’t book with Hotels.com!

Don’t book with hotels.com! They take no responsibility for the booking! One of the few time I booked a hotel for the pool because it was a beautiful day and laying in the sun, dipping in the pool sounded great after driving… even in a mediocre pool. We checked and were told the bar would be closed tonight (Sunday before Labor Day). Ok, I can skip the drink. We checked in, changed clothes to go to the pool to find out it’s closed (construction) I didn’t see any- our room was on the 7th floor with beautiful view of a sparkling clean pool. The wifi in the room did work. It was so slow we went back to 5G even after a guy came to reset it- didn’t work. The sink took forever to drain. We ask for a refund- denied. No offer of a free breakfast or a night free in the future- nothing. The AC in the room is either full speed or nothing and very loud! The good parts- there is no freeway noise if you close the window! The gym has free weights up to 55lb - nice for a hotel and bench along with the typical cardio stuff. It was helpful to get my frustration out. For the money, you can find a much better place in that area!
