Room on the road

The pictures for the rooms on the website did not match the rooms. The room I clicked on was supposed to be a room with two queen beds and a couch. They said none of the rooms had a couch. The room that we had had mold on the furniture. We went back and asked for another room and the man on staff was really nice that we end up having to pay $60 more for the room that slept five people . For the free breakfast you had to heat up your own eggs and sausage in the microwave and it wasn’t really good. But the lady on staff in the morning was nice. The pictures of the hotel rooms in the hotel itself did not match the website. They said it was by Wyndham but the quality didn’t match Wyndham

Beautiful view in the heart of Appalachia

Pros: The continental breakfast was amazing! Amenities are nice (business center, fitness room, etc).
Cons: I wouldn't change a thing. It was fantastic!
Location: Great location. Outer ring of the city of Norton. Close to whatever you want in the Appalachian heartland–wineries, shopping, scenic driving, etc.
The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Even though we were only 2 guests of maybe a dozen for this week (just before the Blizzard of 2016), the staff went out of their way to ask if our stay was pleasant & if there was anything that didn't meet our expectations. Most of all, the hotel was recently renovated so it felt like I was staying in not just a 2-star hotel but at least a 3-star hotel.

Did the job...

Room was clean and nicely appointed. But the room size was way too small for a king bed. Almost had to walk sideways to walk between the bed and tv stand. And I am a petite person. Cramped room was almost uncomfortable. Otherwise it would have been just fine. I would stay here again but would ask for a different room.
