Come relax and enjoy all this area has to offer. Float or fish on the river, then make your way to Bass Pro, Springfield ‘s night life, shopping Ans great restaurants. 35 foot deck will allow you to enjoy the great outdoor areas. There are deer, turkey, raccoons, opossum, and a great variety of birds. Main house is about 1000 feet away and . No handrail to river. It’s the country. Lol.

Cheryl had fast response for communication and helped with recommendations as were from out of state. But the property could use some work. I wouldn't advertise this property as a cabin as this "cabin" is on the backside of a garbage so when we arrived it was confusing. The shower had a big clog so everytime we showered it was ankle deep of water, the hot tub jets half worked and the ones that did work it was covered by the cover that had the stand installed wrong so we couldn't uncover more than half of the hot tub. The hot tub was the whole reason i booked this property. I did address this to the owner and I hope they get fixed before the next guest.

The overall property was good but when we first got there we saw there were roaches in the kitchen. We told Cheryl about this and she said the pest people are coming after we leave which didn’t help us at all while we were there. We only saw them in the kitchen and not in the downstairs where we slept. We did not eat at all in the kitchen and therefore had to spend more money eating out. Also since we had the 2 dogs there was no way to find another place to go to while we were there. It would have been a five star review and we would have stayed again if it weren’t for the roaches. Also had to make sure to unpack, shake, repack, and load stuff in vehicle right away to make sure didn’t have any in our stuff.

Just as described in the posting. The cabin has everything you need to be self sufficient. Very quiet & tranquil. Just outside of town, but within a short commute to all amenities.Loved the deck! Secure for the dogs and very peaceful & enjoyable in the early mornings while enjoying coffee or in the evenings with slight breezes.Loved it!

Clean, comfortable, quiet and well stocked with amenities! We relaxed in the hot tub each night and there is a large deck that is private to enjoy as well! The river access is just down the hill from the back patio. Kitchen was well stocked. Host was very friendly and very respectful of your privacy but also very responsive to anything we needed! It was the perfect location for us! We were just about an hour from Branson which allowed us to enjoy all the things Branson has to offer as well as Springfield! It is less than 15 minutes from Bass Pro and the WOW Aquarium. There are also many great places to eat in the area! If you like to be close to the action but also far enough away to relax, this is the perfect place! This place is definitely on our favorites list! We will definitely stay here again if we come to the area!

Weekend refresh after the Holidays

Rented this cute little cabin space for a weekend get-a-away after the hectic holidays. Just me, the wife and the dog. we were looking for a quick get-a-away from Kansas CIty and It was just about perfect for what we wanted...and expected. The fresh 3 inch's of snow that arrived the morning we traveled into town made it all the more perfect. Great view from the deck of the James River in the winter, with the new snow blanketing the trees. The Hot Tub was awesome in the evenings after long hikes in the local parks and trails. Fire pit was used every night, although I probably made a mess of the woodpile trying to find dryer wood to split from the snow and ice. We are planning to come back in the summer to go kayaking/canoeing with the easy access to the river right from the property. Would recommend for a couple or small family.

Nice Cabin

We stayed six nights there while visiting our son for the holiday. The area was very nice, and close to restaurants, shopping and main highways. The cabin is located on the owners property which was a very nice, well kept home with a large piece of property. The cabin was very private, quiet, and had a nice deck with a view of the St.James River. There is a set of steps that lead to the deck, and there is a very nice hot tub on the lower patio. We did not use the hot tub but I did open the lid and the water was clean and warm. We did see a family of turkeys run across the backyard, and deer in the front yard. The driveway was nicely blacktopped which made for easy access. If the weather was warmer we would've fished off if the bank. We had our two Boston Terriers with us and taking them out back was convenient because of the sliding door on the ground level. The check in process was seamless. We give a thumbs up to this property.

Amazing little place

Was very clean and comfortable felt like you was at home saw several deer and turkey early in mornings thought it was very good location felt country but still close enough to get where you wanted within a short drive. Came to Missouri to visit friends for my bf's birthday. The property was in a great location. Peaceful but not to far from any essentials you may need. They only negative was there was no river to fish, float, or enjoy.

We had the best time staying at Cheryl's property! The beds are comfortable, its clean and a short walk down to the river. It's a good location to be if you're looking to travel into Branson or around the Ozarks. If you're lucky you might even see their outdoor kitty, we'll be back! I saw a review that said not to stay here because it was converted apartment but I wouldn't let that deter you. While it is an converted apartment attached to their barn there is no sound that comes from it and yes you can tell they did some of the work like there's tiles that are chipped and the stairs are a little steep regardless if you need a nice peaceful place to stay check it out! We loved having a little piece of river to explore. Thanks Cheryl!!

This river cabin is actually a garage with about a third converted to an apartment. Don't consider this if you're an older couple. Steep stairs to bathroom on bottom floor. Owners living next door and they sure keep an eye on you. Zoom lense on the pictures

Beautiful and Cozy

My husband and I (and our two dogs) wanted to take a little trip out to Springfield so we looked for places around there that would take our dogs. We came across this property and booked it almost instantly. Once we arrived, it was absolutely beautiful and had a beautiful view out back. Cheryl did a beautiful job with the property. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t cooperate well with our agenda but the house accommodated us perfectly. We plan on staying here again in the future!
