This is an old property and it was our first time staying at a Shangri La. Our stay did not meet the standards of a 5-star hotel. Hotel staff were very friendly and kind, which is a nice plus, but the rooms are very outdated, as are other areas of the hotel, like the halls and the restaurant where breakfast is served. The food program needs a lot of work. In room dining for instance served food that was cold and did not taste good. For breakfast, there were too many staff walking around doing nothing. The food was also mediocre and I noticed that some food from previous days is saved and then either reused for room service or served the next day for breakfast. Appalling. Based on this alone, I would not stay here again. But if that wasn’t enough, the rooms were not cleaned properly the 2 nights I was there. So I’d recommend other guests consider other options.

Makati Sañhangri-La Review
Service was amazing. At the reception area, staff are very welcoming and friendly. The highlight is during checkout. The staff who assisted us with the checkout escorted us to our car. Also at the breakfast buffet, I noticed the attendants behind the food counters are very focused on food serving. No one talks to one another which show's professionalism. I really admired this. The table servers kept our table clean. They frequently pucked up used dishes and served coffees timely. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.
