The bath was dirty and had body hair in it, they came to clean it and just brushed the hair down the plug hole leaving the bath still dirty. The staff were amazing through, so accommodating and helpful, bar and food prices extortionate though and the menu said you could have certain food then when you tried to order it they added almost five pound on saying the menu needed updating.

We stayed 2 nights (room 117) with 2 other couples and although the room was clean and good enough for our needs it was very dark. There was no main overhead light in our room. We paid for breakfast for both days and the standard of food was good and the restaurant staff very friendly and helpful. However, the busiest time for breakfast was 9am on the Sunday and the restaurant struggled with the demand. There were not enough seats in the restaurant to allow us to all sit together so we were asked to sit in the lounge/bar area which was not an issue. The staff were run off their feet and were struggling to refresh the breakfast buffet food, refill/empty the coffee machines, clear the tables for customers waiting to be seated and accommodate everyone’s requests. We had to wait for hot food to be replenished which meant the food already on our plates was getting cold. One of the waiting staff ended up bringing my scrambled eggs to our table so that I wasn’t blocking the servery area. One of the couples in our party wanted croissants but these had run out completely. The staff were brilliant but there was a huge demand placed on them so they were unable to cope. I did feel sorry for them. It would be worth considering having customers book a breakfast slot so that the demand can be staggered and this would then give the kitchen staff and restaurant staff a chance to replenish the breakfast buffet and ensure there was sufficient food for all customers, even the latecomers.

Breakfast was unfortunately a disappointment due to food simply not coming out fast enough for the demand...we only had a small graze of the remaining few items that were left, and certainly was not worth the money we paid

It was a covenient location for our needs. On the pro side we had a large room and bed, on the con side, you pay to park, the shower wasn't brilliant, the rooms and overall decor a little tired. Food ran out at breakfast, not the staff's fault, they were short staffed. However, did have enough to eat. Overall it was ok.

Hotel very clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Beds comfortable. Great facilities pool sauna gym Breakfast could have been better cold plates. Only egg option is scrambled. Sausages under cooked. Some of the Breakfast items ran out.

Very nice hotel, certainly feels special when you first walk in. The lobby and reception area is quite large. Room was spacious and clean with a large TV. The beds were pretty comfy though personally I didn’t get on with the pillow. Aircon system didn’t work, though this seems to be a trait in most places now that are a little older. Breakfast was a highlight in the morning, very nice spread of hot and cold food, not overly busy and service was efficient.

Overwhelmed of how rude the woman in the breakfast room was. Her name was Ana, the more and more she spoke to me the more she infuriated me. Constantly answering back and in my initial contact she accused me of lying because I said I have been waiting for some eggs for ages and she said, you can't have as I welcomed you in. I was welcomed in 25 minutes before and waited exactly 20 minutes for some scrambles eggs. I would have been fine with this wait but her answering me back was unprofessional, and really blunt and rude,. When I told her this she said I am not kind and all she cares about is the kindness of he staff. So within 2 ninutes of interacting with this woman she had acused me of lying and now being unkind, oh btw still no eggs, bacon or sausages. When I went to complain at the reception about her at check out, she followed me and stood next to the guy in the reception while I tried to explain, she stood next to him and gave me the death stare !! I couldn'tI believe how crazy this woman was. told her to leave me alone and go away as she kept wanted to talk to me. She then sarcastic appligised I told her to leave me alone. Meanwhile the guy at the reception didn't batter an eyelid as if being rude to guest or accusing guests of being rude to staff was normal.

Wow. Right on the moter way - we hadn’t realised- but we choose it cause it looked nice in the photos, and reasonably priced for our NewZealand $. It’s infact old and does need a bit of a spring cleaning. There’s no lift and the stair well has short steep steps. The bed was comfy, the aircon awesome but the carpet felt like it needed a clean. The pool pleasant and staff nice but not friendly. Breakfast was a mess as did dinner look.we decided to not go there. There was a bus tour, dinner was geared around them and they cleaned out breakfast which had us and others waiting for food which they couldn’t keep up with- it wasnt great. It seemed like it was a hotel, the gas workers used as there were groups of guys and tour bus passengers who were on mass. The parking was easy and included in the price. At end of day the carpark was filled with gas workers vans. An ok stop on route yes it’s a 5 from us. A shame cause it could be great.
