Such a cute house! Renovated beautifully. Well stocked kitchen too! I had to bake my son's grooms cake for his wedding yesterday and it went smoothly. The house was pretty clean too. I did have an issue with how fragrant the linens were, because I have migraines triggered by smells...but I forgot to request fragrance free linens, so my fault there. Overall, it was a great stay and very convenient to the places we needed to be!

This is a lovely place to stay and the hosts have very generously stocked things that you might need to make your stay more comfortable-toaster, mixer, crock pot, air fryer and tons of spices and convenience items. The view here is spectacular-all you need to do is sit on the porch and watch the beauty around you. It is quiet, serene and extremely comfortable. The decorating is outstanding and this place offers everything you would need. Very new appliances and plenty of room in a lovely setting. We enjoyed deer in the yard almost every night and distant train sounds and roosters added to the ambience. You will be hard pressed to find anything nicer or more comfortable than this treasure in the woods. We totally enjoyed our stay and will not forget this delight. The decor is better than you find in most rentals-very tastefully done in a railroad theme. You cannot go wrong with a visit to Porchland Cottage. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable, pleasant and comfortable! And it being dog friendly makes this our top choice for places to stay!!

Dotti was absolutely amazing! We stayed here for Softball Nationals at Drakes Creek Park with myself, mother, and three 17 year old girls and there was more than enough space. The house was absolutely gorgeous! Coffee on the front porch every morning and taking in the sunset every night made us never want to leave. The area is quiet, relaxing, and just far enough from the busy highway to really take in the scenery. We had the absolute pleasure of meeting Dotti during our stay and she was so sweet and friendly and gave us history about the area which we all loved discovering. Dotti was so quick to respond to any message with a question that we had before or during our stay, which was so appreciated. We can't wait to rebook a stay here!

Softball Tournament

Our stay was absolutely perfect. The house was exactly as the pictures. Warm, welcoming, and felt just like home. It was so wonderful to come “home”, have dinner and relax, shopping was easy to get to and downtown Nashville was a 30 minute ride.

Porchland perfection

Everything about this house is perfect. The )ocation, view, atmosphere, and space are all perfect. This house is absolutely beautiful, beds are comfortable, and the water pressure for the showers are amazing. The burn pit is a great way to enjoy family time and unwind. Thank you for sharing this amazing home. We will definitely be looking for this house to stay in on our next trip to Tennessee.

Great place for memories

We took our family of 6 here to enjoy an extended weekend. The large yard was ideal for the kids to play in and allowed the parents to relax and take it all in. Recommend 10 out of 10!

Wonderful Home Away from Home

We celebrated Christmas as the Porchland property and it was perfect. This home is not only warm and inviting, it was even decorated for the Holiday. We enjoyed our time in Tennessee and would highly recommend this sweet home!

Great Family Weekend

Very cute, well-appointed house. Extremely clean and cozy. Lots of extras. We didn't get the time to use the fire pit out back, but it was setup with firewood and ready to build a fire. Nicely decorated for Christmas if you're celebrating away from home. Would stay again.

Gallatin Wedding

We stayed here for our nieces wedding. Driving from Wisconsin, we arrived before check in & Dotti graciously allowed us to arrive at the house early. We loved the decor and the homey feeling. The house was equipped with everything you would need. It’s quiet, peaceful & the perfect location to everywhere we had to go. Thank you for an amazing stay!

Porchland

Stayed at Porchland for a softball tournament. Property was well situated to the tournament, nicely remodeled, and had plenty of room for our family of three plus grandparents. Loved the quiet woods, wrap around porch for our morning coffee/tea, and daily walks down Wallace road. Overall, a great stay!

Quaint country cottage

We enjoyed our long weekend in this welcoming and well-appointed country home on a hill. Every detail was thought out and there were so many nice touches. The decor was tasteful and perfectly suited for a Nashville area cottage. We spent a lot of time on the huge porch beneath the fans while the kiddies caught and releasef fireflies. The beds were very comfortable and the layout was great for our family of six. Very peaceful and quiet neighborhood. Portland people are friendly and polite. Our hostess Dottie was terrific.
