This was supposed to be a fun reunion weekend of old friends from college, enjoying golf in the area and relaxing after using the pool on the property. While we still enjoyed the weekend, catching up on each other's lives, the stay on the property was one of the more unpleasant experiences I can remember at a rental property. The main reason that we booked this place was to be able to utilize the pool, and while I realize that it clearly states it does not open until May, since we would be only one weekend earlier, I thought it was at least worth a shot to ask a month in advance. The property manager confirmed that she would indeed have this done for us, which sealed the deal as to why we stayed. When we checked in, this was not the case, and it was still closed. After reaching out to the property manager, asking why it still may be closed, I was met with extremely frustrating responses and actions. There was seemingly very little effort by the property manager to get the pool open, though there was the month of April to do so, and when her hands became tied and it could not be completed, she relayed that I knew this going it that it would be closed, going against what we initially agreed upon. Additionally, the only compensation offered was a refund of 100, which I found to be highly insulting considering we would not have stayed at this property if it were not for the pool. It seemed like we were tricked into staying here, knowing the pool was never going to be open.
