Thank you for your positive feedback on your experience at The Ritz-Carlton, Naples. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back again soon!

Having stayed at a number of their properties, we were unimpressed by many of the amenities. Additionally, our room overlooked a loud maintainence area. When you pay $1,300 an evening you expect much better than what we experienced.

Ritz Carlton Naples on the beach

Pros: Close restaurants
Cons: No free Internet, usual price gouging, average food
Ritz Carlton Naples, on the beach has it all for the traveling family or business guest. The hotel employs an army of hospitality staff that will cater to one’s every need. Rooms are spacious and clean, bedding Egyptian cotton. The beach is close by with the usual rentals of chairs and umbrella ($25.00 daily or half day rates) prevail. It was disappointing there is no food service on the beach though restaurants are close by. Beverage service is available on the beach. The pool is beautiful. There is a fantastic spa with exercise facilities including Pilates. There are a variety of restaurants from which to choose. All food, goods and services pricing are commensurate of a Five Star Hotel. The Terrace breakfast buffet runs $28.00. The Pool Bar serves food poolside. I ordered the kids Cheeseburger, fries & fruit for about $8.00 and a draft beer (12 oz runs $8.95). The Grill Steakhouse entrees run from $35. to $135. Cautious when ordering the dry aged beef if you have never tried it! The Sushi Bar is great and it is the place to hang on weekend evenings with a DJ and dancing. As a whole, the food at The Ritz Carlton is very average for the exorbitant pricing. Internet service was very slow when it was operating. It was down most of our two day stay. We just used our Internet wireless card. Room Internet will cost you $9.95 daily. There is free wireless in areas of the hotel such as pool, lobby. A complimentary computer room is available.

Wedding Event

Stayed here for a recent wedding - was wonderful! Great room, beautiful view, very swanky. Only downside was waiting three hours for our room to be ready. Did not get checked-in until after 4:00 p.m. Traveling with a 15-year-old son made waiting that long for our room all the more trying...... Once we were in the access to the Gulf is great, the swimming pool is beautiful, and the service overall was excellent. Be sure to specify the kind of room you need when confirming reservations - which I did to no avail - but at least at check-in the clerk knew what I needed. Also, breakfast is very expensive - $* for two - and I did not order the $* glass of orange juice....

Do not stay here

My husband and I chose to stay here for a romantic weekend. We paid extra for a gulf view room and requested a king sized bed when we made the reservation. We arrived at check-in time and were told that our room was not ready yet. We waited about a hour for them to prepare our room. When we got to our room it had double beds and no view. We called and complained and they made us wait an additional 45 minutes for a new room. The new room had a king bed, but still only had a partial view of the water from the balcony. We did not complain again because we did not want to wait another 45 mins. to switch rooms. Our room was also dirty and we waited 1 1/2 hours for soemone to come up and clean it. The following evening we went to the restaurant for dinner and my husband fouond a hair in his food. We were very disappointed and after speaking to quite a few other guests, they were disappointeds as well. One guest told us to stay at La Playa next time, which she said is so much nicer than the Ritz.

Week at the beach

Fabulous hotel, with a staff who is focused upon making sure the guests are served. The property is beautiful, right on the Gulf Beach with white sand and all the services needed, umpbrellas and chairs on the beach, waiters to deliver cold drinks and snacks, the best of everything.\nThe pool and cabana's are wonderful, there is a family pool and an adult's only pool which is very nice to have that choice. again the chairs, umbrellas, waiters for cold drinks and snacks; everything to enjoy a day at the pool.\nthe hotel restaurants were excellent but a bit pricey--breakfast buffet $28 per person, nice once but not for 5 days in a row. The Grille room excellent but over $250 for a good meal. But there are good restaurants just a short distance away---Flemmings and some great Naples own places.\nEveryone should have a week at this hotel, it is truely the best on the west coast of Florida.
