Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski München

Maximilianstr. 17, Munich - Map
"A holiday at the Munich Four Seasons."
The Vier Jahreszeiten is truly one of the great hotels of Europe. This was my second stay there, and I think was even nicer than my first stay over ten years ago. The property is clean, tastefully decorated, and located central to shopping and museums.. The staff was quick to respond with all requests, and they all spoke at least a bit of English, as did most of the shop clerks and waiters/waitresses. The breakfast buffet is a sight that must be seen to be believed; it spans two large rooms! Our only problem was my boyfriend was unable to schedule a massage while we were there.....apparently not enough time slots available. Overall. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Munich.

"Nice hotel near main train station"
The hotel is nice but it is an interesting walk to it past shady business and typical businesses. Once you enter the door, the place is nice. It's easy to walk from there to Old Town and beyond. Do not plan to rent a car and park.

Eden Hotel Wolff

Arnulfstr. 4, Munich - Map
"Near everything you will need."
This hotel was a pleasure. The rooms are not anything special but they were very clean, roomy, nice and comfortable. They were updated and modern. The air conditioning was great, nice and cool. The staff was very helpful and had no problem communicating in English. I would absolutely stay there again without hesitation. Another user had posted there was no Wifi, that is false, there is free Wifi. The train station is directly across the street, there is a huge cab stand right across the street, there are tram stops within a block. The city center shopping is about 3-4 blocks away. This hotel honestly could not have been more conveniently located.

Hotel Exquisit

Pettenkoferstr. 3, Munich - Map
"Good enough"
This is a dated, understaffed hotel in a marginal neighborhood. But relative to other hotels in this price range, it's pretty good. If you're mostly interested in a jumping off point for seeing Munich, then it's great. There is a major subway and above-ground tram station literally next door, or you can easily walk to Marienplatz in 15 minutes down the pleasant pedestrian-friendly shopping street Sendlinger Strasse. Suburbanites might be put off by the slightly gritty feel of the neighborhood, but it's not really bad. Women seemed fairly comfortable walking down the street after midnight. Kids really like playing in the fountains next to the tram station, but the park is slightly questionable for kids to play unattended. By comparison, it's a nicer neighborhood than the area around the train station, but not as nice as Old Town (the northeastern part of downtown). The breakfast buffet was really good, with a variety of meats, pastries, yogurts, fruit, and other as-yet unidentified German dishes.

St. Anna-Straße 10, Munich - Map
The hotel is beautiful. The breakfast areas and courtyard are just wonderful. The rooms are quite nice but have no air conditioning. It was cool when we were there, but it might be uncomfortable when the temperature rises. The hotel staff was very nice. Always quite willing to help or serve you if needed. Additionally, they have a cab driver they recommend that took us to the airport. She was very professional and was hired for a set fee.
