My husband and I especially liked the short walk from the hotel to Ponte da Piedade at sunset. The rooms were spacious, clean and well kept. The hotel’s property is a 10 minute drive to downtown Lagos which was fine because Ubers were readily available and extremely affordable. The food was delicious but I think my husband got food poisoning during our stay and instead of trying to accommodate or help, the manager deflected blame away and said that “the only way to know if it’s food poisoning is to have a diagnosis from a doctor” and that there was no way to know for sure it was from the food at the hotel despite having lunch and dinner on the property the day prior. My husband had to stay in the room and miss a day of vacation to recover. They sent him some toast, bananas and apple juice but honestly, I was disappointed in how the situation was handled."
