The staff was fantastic! Our check in was friendly, the bartender was awesome and our drivers, both of our drivers were great. We ordered pizza for after the Garth Brooks concert and when we got back our pizza was waiting for us, which was very good. The morning breakfast was very good and the chef at the omelet bar was good, need to smile a little more, lol. I would definitely stay here again! The staff should remember who we were, my husband was crazy man giving the front desk person a hard time, lol and the bartender with the great service of my NA beers. Sorry didn't get names, but they were great!!

Consistent with my expectations for cleanliness and service. Room is dated and pull out mattress worn

Never Again

Pros: The room we stayed in had 2 bedrooms, I liked that since we didn't have to all have separate rooms.
Cons: The cleanliness and the timeliness of room being ready.
Location: Mostly businesses, there is a Target and a Panera right across the road.
This was one of the worst experiences I have had at a hotel. We stopped in almost 2 hours prior to check-in time (3 pm) to check if we could do an early check-in but they told us the rooms were not ready. The man told us he would notify the cleaning staff to have the rooms ready. We left and came back a little before 3 pm. The smaller of our two rooms was ready but the other room was not. They took my number and told me they would call once the room was ready. I got impatient and went down around 3:30 to check again, the employee checked with the cleaning staff and they told him it would be another 20 minutes before the room was ready. When I asked him why the room was not ready by check-in time when we showed up early and the employee made them aware that we were waiting, he told me that they do not guarantee the rooms will be ready by check-in time. What?? The room was not ready until 4 pm and when I got the keys the front desk employee was short with me and a little rude. The entire hotel was supposed to be non-smoking but yet our hotel reeked like people were smoking in it for years. When I went to the front desk to ask them to switch us to another room, they said they did not have another room (without checking anything) but stated they had a special machine to remove the smell. I went to the store and came back, they had a box fan sitting outside of my room. We found trash in our room and the floor was filthy with crumbs and dirt. Makes me question the cleanliness.

Overbooked - Not the room advertised

Pros: This Embassy Suites had a more standard hotel format and feel compared to other locations that our family has stayed at. The staff were friendly.
Cons: The evening reception was staffed with only one bartender on a Saturday night. I spent more time in line than relaxing with my drink.
Location: We enjoyed visiting the state fair during our visit and found a very flexible park and ride within three miles of the hotel.
Overall, this is a beautiful hotel with professional and friendly staff. I was disappointed, however, when I checked in and learned that the hotel was overbooked. I had prepaid for a room with two queen beds. We were given a room with one king bed. I returned to the front desk to correct the error and was told the best they could do was a handicap accessible suite which left us with a modified room format and bathroom. I greatly appreciate how accessible the hotel is to guests with limited mobility. Even the pool could accommodate guests in wheelchairs. I hope that our stay didn't inconvenience a guest who would have needed the modifications. Had I known that we would receive a modified room and bathroom, I would have booked my other choice hotel.

Was a OK stay

There was a group of 4 of us that stayed here. We were in town for a twins game. The hotel was OK but was the worst of the embassy suites that I've stayed at. The staff was good. When we needed extra sheets they were able to get them right away for us. The location is 10 minutes from down town so it was close to downtown and cheaper then getting 2 rooms downtown. The draw backs for us were that the doors didn't close well. The doors had to be forced shut for all 4 of them. The toilet was extremely loud so it would wake others up in the room. Checking in went well once we got to the counter. Took a while of standing in line to get to the desk and we were the 3rd in line. Overall I would recommend the stay for this part of town.

Wouldn't recommend

We have stayed in many Embassy Suites and this was by far our least favorite. Stained sheets on the pull-out bed. Requested an extra pillow and was told they didn't have any. Bathroom door wouldn't close properly - seemed to have some alignment problems. Breakfast buffet ran out of everything - no milk, bread, bacon, pancakes, french toast, pastries, juice of any kind, potatoes, oatmeal - and this was not at the end of the designated serving time either. They had 45 minutes left to serve people. Customer service was non-existent. They tended to snarl at you if you dared to ask a question. The living area was quite a bit smaller than in other Embassy Suites we have stayed in but other than that, I didn't mind the new arrangement. The newer arrangement, without the open atrium in the center, did make the rooms quieter. It was very easy to get to downtown from the hotel.

great stay

the hotel was modern and new. Our room was clean. I liked the appearance of the room. We had two flat screen TVs(one in the bedroom and one in the living room) so there was no dispute about what to watch. The exercise facility was my favorite; the machines were awesome and the TVs on each was great. Overall, a great stay. The breakfast and breakfast area was also a plus.
