Land owned by the Crawford family in the 1800s, built a lumber mill at the end of the lake and later used as a summer retreat. Years later, sold to Conservation Halton for preservation of the beautiful lake!

Entrance to the log house.

What you see here is called the Log House and about 30 people lived inside of it.

Inside you would find 3 fire pits where the families would sleep around to stay warm in adjacent bunks.

They believe this area was inhabited by ancestors of the Wendat (Huron) or Attawandaron (Neutral) confederacies.
View from one of the lookout points at Rattlesnake Point.

Consists of three main trails and has 5 lookout points. The trails are well marked and fairly easy to trek through.

Costs just approx. $6.95 to get in but your ticket is good for entry into its 7 sister parks.

Breath taking views from atop of the Niagara Escarpment.

The trail I went on was called the Vista Adventure trail which took about an hour to complete and has 3 of the 5 lookout points.

The park consists of 264 hectares of protected land consisting of glacial deposits, hidden caves, and bold faced cliffs.
