Okay, not great

The rooms are nice, and I love that there are two king size beds, but it really wasn't very clean, there was black stuff all over the floors, the walls, the sheets and there was a weird blood like looking stain on one of the pillows. I slept on top of the blankets with an extra sweater because I didn't feel clean sleeping underneath. The room could really use a deep clean and some new paint to cover up all the black marks. My sister said it "looked like a crime scene, where they dusted for fingerprints," so that's not great. I also asked the front desk on my way in for a new ice bucket so that I didn't have to walk a mile down the hallway and then down to the first floor just to get ice (since there is only 1 ice machine on the 1st floor) and he very blatantly said "No." That would have been a very simple nice act of customer service as I saw it, but it was clearly too inconvenient. I would consider staying again due to the price and my willingness to give a place a second chance but overall, it wasn't great. There were also what seemed like a team of construction workers staying in the hotel and while I know that is common, their trucks were blocking off the entire parking lot and walking all the way from the back as a woman alone seems really dangerous. There should really be a back entrance where the parking lot wraps around. There are quite a few things that can be improved.

There is a mile long homeless encampment surrounding the property. Very unsafe area. I was also charged double the rate that was listed on Expedia for a Security deposit that I still have not gotten back.

The street that the hotel is on is lined with rundown motor homes these people have obviously been parked there for a long long time. It’s very sad. I didn’t feel safe in this area at all. The hotel itself is clean as well as the room I stayed in, and they do offer a free breakfast. Staff was on the phone when I arrived and when I left so I felt like more like an inconvenience to them.
