Just your typical Hilton Garden Inn which isn’t a bad thing at all. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. We experienced no noise or other issues. The only one down side was the room did not have a safe to store important items and documents. As overseas travellers this was a major inconvenience as this meant we had to carry our documents and passports and all our valuables and money with us when exploring San Francisco.
The gym was adequate with dumbbells and two benches, and the usual treadmills and elliptical machines. There was a single cable machine with no available attachments making the machine practically useless. Also the first morning I entered the gym a large group of children and their parents were basically using the room as a playground. Obviously I cannot blame the hotel for the behaviour of their guests but this does suggest the gym isn’t monitored (which may explain the missing cable machine attachments). I chose not to complain to the hotel staff so I cannot blame the hotel nor mark its score down. It was simply something that I observed.
On the positive side the staff were friendly, especially Faisal at the front desk. There is ample car parking and we noticed hotel security wandering around the car park keeping an eye on things. Also the hotel is on a great location for food and I highly recommend visiting Pineapple King for delicious pineapple buns. It is also relatively close to the BART Warm Springs/Fremont Station.
