Lacks Food Options

Pros: The lovely water features front and back of hotel.
Cons: Food Choices were not Good! Not adequate Handicpped parking or support to get to your room.
Location: There is a great Mexican restaurant about a mile to the north. Walmart was very close to get sundries one needed.
Food options were dismal. Buffet is available only 3 nights a week. Cafe prices were in the $25. Dollar an evening meal range for one person. Sandwiches and snacks were available. But No fair priced healthy meals were available. I ate at an excellent, working class, Mexican place a mile north. Then found that the other thriving casino to the north had excellent meal choices 24 hrs a day.

Lovely - but beware of cigarette smoke!

It is a lovely hotel, fabulous pool, etc... The only issues we faced was the enormous quantity of cigarette smoke as you enter and exit inside the lobby! We have children with asthma and smoke allergies, in our home state it is illegal to smoke indoors in a public place... did not consider this would be an issue elsewhere! We just rushed through the lobby as quickly as possible! Also - a maid threw away our son's expensive and essential hiking shoes... fortunately they were sought for, and recovered! Would give it an A+ rating overall, if the smoke would vanish!

Stopover on the way to the Tetons

Pros: Excellent value, good food at La Casa restaurant. Didn't go swimming, but the pool looked really nice.
Cons: Room A/C is noisy and sometimes a little anemic. The gym doesn't amount to much: two treadmills and a stair-stepper. Nothing for the upper body.
Location: The main draw for us is the casino where my wife likes to play the slots.
We stayed as a stopover on our way from San Diego to the Tetons. It was comfortable, pleasant, good value. Some reviews complained about furnishings being worn or outdated -- I saw nothing like that. Paint was fresh in the rooms and everywhere else. There was no smoke in the non-smoking rooms, contrary to some other reviews. Yes, there was quite a bit of smoke in the casino, but it's a CASINO, for heaven's sake. You only have to go through the casino to get to guest registration if you go through the entrance marked "CASINO". If you go through the main entrance by the porte cochere, registration is just to the right. Staff was uniformly pleasant. One complaint is on target: the room A/C was noisy in both the rooms we had (coming and going). We found that if we ran the A/C on full before bedtime, then turned it off, it lasted through the night pretty well, even though the outside temperature never dropped below about 88 degrees and went up to 106 during the day.

Glad I found this gem!

Pros: We liked the rooms and they had a movie playing at the pool. We were pleased to find that we could still use the pool even though it was late evening.
Cons: There is only one elevator for the tower and it was hard to find parking close to an entrance. Expect to walk a bit to your room.
We really enjoyed our stay here. It was a nice hotel that seemed far nicer than we were expecting based on the price. It was great!

Beautiful.

Pros: Everything.
Cons: Could use a parking garage. When we left, the temperature was 116 and the car was too hot to touch. A garage would have been wonderful.
Location: Located in a small town with a few nice sized casino's. A lot of fun.
Room was clean, stylish and well maintained. We were very pleased.

Older Hotel But Pleasant

Pros: Location and price
Cons: Frendliness of the staff
Location: This appears to be a great golf location.
The Casablanca is an older hotel attached to a casino. The hotel is well maintained. There are several eating choices in the casino complex. For this reason we use it twice a year on our trips to and from northern Utah. It is a great halfway point and has all the facilities we need for an overnight. Rates are cheap and the experience is better than other area choices. There are, however, some negatives. The staff is efficient but not very friendly. You have to walk through a noisy and smoky casino to get to and from your room and dining places. There is only one bank of elevators as is typical of older hotels. This means a long walk from elevators to rooms and might present a difficulty in an emergency. The Casa Cafe is an average restaurant with moderate prices. The other eating places are much more expensive. The bottom line is that the negatives are outweighed by the convenient location of the Casablanca and the adequate facilities available. We will continue to use this hotel for our in route overnight stays. I would recommend it to others for this purpose.

Golf trip

Pros: Katherine's Restaurant was absolutely superb. The elevators are fast!
Cons: Pillows
Location: Golf and gambling. Otherwise not much ado about Mesquite.
We were on an annual golf trip -- boys only. Stayed at Casa Blanca before. Good hotel! We are golfers, not gamblers, but the Casa Blanca was perfect for our needs. It is centrally located in Mesquite, which was a positive factor in our decision to stay there.
