Honestly, this place has gotten OLD (literally) they’ve ridden their location for many, many years without making any improvements to the interior of their rooms. The place REALLY needs to be upgraded. Old AC, moldy smells, suspect stains etc etc. The staff at the front desk are not helpful, heads staring at their phones constantly.

Excellent location for restaurants, museums and nightlife. Traditional hotel with lovely courtyard where live music is played Saturday and Sunday mornings. Small pool area but just as lovely. Convenient restaurant on site with 2 for 1 pizza on Tuesday and happy hour M-F from 5 to 8pm. Room was basic and kept very clean by great staff. The only reason I did t give it 5 is that it can be noisy as it is on the cross roads of two very busy streets. We were on a lower floor(we asked for a lower floor in case the elevator did not work) and the noise was very noticeable. Ear plugs do the job. We enjoyed our stay thank you very much for the hospitality.

Rooms are tired and walls are thin. Could hear the guy next to us snoring all night. Neighbour had music on so loud they may as well have been in our room. When we first arrived, our room had no running water, then the 1st morning we had no hot water for a shower.

We loved staying at property in the beautiful & vibrant historic district of Merida. Service was excellent. The atmosphere was warm & charming. The room & public areas are comfortable with attractive decor. The location is superb for walking to explore, dining options nearby are abundant & delicious. casa de la made our stay in Merida all the more wonderful during Dia de Muertos!
