"We had an amazing time - overall excellent experience. We came to Layana Resort to relax and relax we did. The hotel staff was really friendly and attentious, the grounds were beautiful, the vibe was quiet and relaxed. The spa was a real treat and we enjoyed the time we spent there getting massages and mani/pedicures. The restaurant was great (especially the Thai dishes and special menus) and we had all our meals there for most of our stay. Eating by the sea never gets old :) Sunsets were beautiful, and while the sea was not safe for swimming for half of our time there (very strong tides), the pool by the beach more than made up for it. "We stayed in a room on the harbour side. A magical view and fantastic to watch the water craft coming and going. The hotel is pure luxury, brand new, it feels anyway. Breakfast was good and made to order. There is no elevator, however, they have staff that attend to luggage. Be aware that the entrance is on the harbour side, tucked away in a corner. They will also charge you 2000 cash upon arrival for a security deposit. "
