"This place was perfect for my family of small kids (3 years and 7 months). This resort is huge but stroller friendly. It was perfect for my toddler who loves to run everywhere. The people there were great and the food was delicious. Many options for swimming. We got the unlimited Xcaret experience, which was perfect for small kids to do everything slow vs jamming it all in one day or two. The park is literally attached to the resort so walking in and out is only about 5 mins with two entry points. The entertainment, the beach lagoon, the pools, it was all great. The buildings are a bit older and more ecolodge feeling (which is perfect for this place that is all nature) so if you have accessibility needs, make sure to highlight those as there is no elevator at the individual hotel lodging buildings.
Lots of wild life and lovely trails within the resort. We loved that we were able to snorkel and see beautiful fish in the freshwater beach and pool. Beautiful Mayan landmarks to discover.
Expedia has its own building (building 22 which is closer to the beach and one of the Xcaret entrance) and Booking through Expedia has its perks like making sure all your a la carte reservations are done at once vs waiting in line each day to book them. There is also a common room in the Expedia building with coffee and breakfast treats (for a quick start to your morning). Make sure to talk to the Expedia customer service to know what perks you have as an Expedia member. "
