Amazing resort for young families. So many great activities, restaurants and the mangroves area was a lovely surprise. Seeing the monkeys every morning was such a cool experience. The beach area with pool over looking the ocean was also a favorite. Would recommend for sure!

I rarely leave reviews, so that alone should tell you how disappointed I am with our recent 6-day stay at Ocean Riviera Paradise. This was our 7th trip to Riviera Maya, and I regret trying a new resort. The staff was consistently inattentive—no smiles, no engagement, and several times when we asked for something, they simply walked away. There were many more examples, but one of the worst was at the kids’ pool: a very drunk man was causing a scene, even pulling his girlfriend underwater, and the staff/lifeguards did absolutely nothing. This group had the black privileged bracelets, so unclear why they were even there. They behaved inappropriately around children w/o any intervention from staff. Cleanliness and safety were also concerns. Coatis were digging in the ice cream machine at the burger shack (staff did nothing), and the pool by the beach was filled with constant solicitation—massages, hair braiding, parasailing, jet skis, photos with animals-every single time we walked by. When I declined a photo with a monkey, the woman rudely said "Maybe you need more tequila" Yes, the property looks nice, but that’s where the positives end. Ocean Riviera Paradise should truly be embarrassed by the level of service and oversight. I’ve never felt so let down by a resort in Riviera Maya.

Staff were mostly friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool area. The food was mediocre. We probably would have had a less positive experience if we hadn’t upgraded to Privilege. The gym and sports areas were disappointing and very dated. Also, do not agree to attend the meeting unless you want to lose 3–4 hours of your vacation while they try to sell you a timeshare.

Our mini fridge was not fully stocked on our first day. It was as not restocked on our last night either. We asked for bottled water and they stated that it was stocked earlier. They said that they will give us water but will take whatever we had left in the fridge. We have never experienced that from any other resort in Mexico. The day we left, we asked for a bellboy to assist with our luggages. Nobody came. Disappointed.
