"This hotel is not a 5-star experience. The pool is at best uninviting, it’s very tired and not really usable. The room smelt of bleach on arrival although that did fade over the few days we were there. The staff were friendly and the spa was great, but the concierge service (via WhatsApp) didn’t really work as it wasn’t responsive enough. The room design leaves a lot to be desired. It’s ok, but not 5-star. "

"We had an excellent stay at Costa Verde. Our room was absolutely stunning with a very large balcony and large windows overlooking the ocean. We could hear the ocean waves and every morning we got up at 5:30 in the morning to listen to the birds and enjoy the sunrise. The family suite that we had was clean and beds were very comfortable, and the costa verde grounds had several very nice restaurants with free shuttle transportation offered to the restaurants because of the fact that the property was large with a winding road that made walking even short distances sometimes challenging. There was a very nice pool. The staff in the office were absolutely amazing and Alejandro in particular was extremely helpful in arranging for some daily tours and shuttle transportation for the end of our trip. This location itself is next to the park and there are monkeys and sloths living on the property that you can see from the restaurants or when walking around on the grounds. It is also very close to the beach, although the winding road and the steep hill makes it hard to walk to the beach. There is a convenient bus that you can ride that costs only one dollar and runs every 25 minutes. Would definitely stay at this property again and would highly recommend for others."
