The room was hot with little ventilation. The fan was very dusty. The shower door was rusty at the bottom. The bed was comfortable but noisy. Bed and floor were clean. The staff were friendly and efficient. Food at the restaurant was good and serving size was good.

We were able to see deer first thing in the morning. Internet was good but struggled a little when watching Netflix. Maybe a menu for the restaurant would nice.

I booked for my dad. The cabin was adorable; however, the only furniture he was able to sit on was the bed. He wouldn't have been able to get back up if he used the futon couch or the adirondack chairs on the porch. We were able to borrow a chair he could sit on. It was still a cute place for him to stay as we were camping close. especially being the options were few in the area.

Perfect place to stay when traveling as long as you aren’t too high maintenance. The rooms were a little dated but clean enough for me (I’m a Hampton Inn and up kind of person!). Only complaint is no A/C- could be a little more upfront about that but I imagine it does not get terribly hot in the area and we were thankful for the fan provided. The floors could use a little more mopping but otherwise it was perfect for us. What made it amazing was the convenient location, the quietness, and most importantly the friendly owners and staff! I would come back to visit and you definitely have to have their breakfast!

Did the job, Pros & Cons

Bed in the mountains with the basics. Not much around, so it did the job. Room smelled like people have smoked in it, a little hot, medium sized spider in the bathroom. Double-check they give you the right keys, they gave me the wrong ones then chased me down to correct it. But staff is very friendly, nice atmosphere. Would stay again if I had to pass through the region as there is not much out there.

If you dont like rural this might not be your favorite but for rural people or people that like rural life this is a great little place well run and a gem in the modern age 10/10 i would stay here again
