This was my second time coming to Secrets at this location. I came solo this time for 6 nights and had the most relaxing time. I booked a swim out pool/ room. 100% worth it. I enjoy people but also enjoy my quiet time and the swim out pool was perfect. I suggest bringing a small blow up floaty so you can just relax in the water. Food was great. The spa was amazing. Thank you again Secrers!

So I went here for a solo birthday trip. 1st when they took me into check in I didn’t know I was part of the preferred group. When the rep Victor was explaining this he made it sound like I wasn’t. He asked anything special. I said Yes it’s my birthday. My door was never decorated, no bottle of champagne or anything. Also I heard from another traveler they did birthday photo shoots which I wasn’t told about and didn’t have enough time to try to figure it out. I’m still annoyed about that because there are things I missed that I should had experienced.

Exceptional service

We stayed at Secrets in Los Cabos for six nights, opting for a more relaxing vacation this time—something different from the typical party-all-night vibe of downtown Cabo. Since the resort is located in San José del Cabo, it offered the perfect balance: peaceful and laid-back, with the option to join in on some fun if you felt like it. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the check-in process was smooth. We arrived quite early but were allowed to use the facilities and grab some food while our room was being prepared, which was a great start to the trip. We booked a swim-out room—highly recommended if you’ve never done it before. It’s absolutely worth the extra cost. The grounds were beautifully manicured, with lush landscaping and a luxurious feel throughout the property. It’s a great place for a stroll, day or night, with all the lighting making it especially enchanting after dark. The hibachi restaurant was excellent, but make sure to line up around 3:30 PM to secure a reservation for the hibachi table—it fills up quickly, and they stop taking names once it’s full. We didn’t get to do the hibachi table experience but still enjoyed a delicious meal at a regular table. The Mexican restaurant was solid, and the seafood spot down by the water was outstanding—beautiful setting and exceptional service. There are still so many resorts we’d like to explore in the area, but we would definitely recommend Secrets and will most likely return at some point.

Everything was great minus the check in staff. They start out when you upgrade to club by asking for even more money to upgrade even more and then try to get you to time share meetings. Secrets never use to be all about sales it was about the customer having a great experience. I will say the bar tending staff, house keeping and restaurant workers were amazing! Food was great. Room was great. Just disappointed in the pushy sales now ruins your welcoming.

The property was absolutely beautiful and the food was good. The biggest issue is the pool service. There was a male/female team at the pool each day. The female was courteous and did a good job. The male, however, was horrible. In a five day period, he made eye contact with us only a few times. When I was able to call him over, he’d tell me he’d be back to take my order, but he never returned. This happened MULTIPLE times. The few times he did take a drink order, we never received the drinks. We ended up walking to the restaurant/swim up bar and retrieving our order each time. Pretty disappointing aspect of the trip considering that 90 percent of the time is spent at the pool.

Excellent resort. All the food was delicious. The rooms are clean and nothing about them seems outdated. The entire resort was very clean and the service was great.

Vacation was wonderful in general however, the pressure from the staff to buy timeshares was overwhelming. I would 100% recommend the couples massage. It was fantastic! The food was not great. We didn’t discover good food until the last night which was brought by room service. But maybe at that point we were just hungry. I don’t think I would return to that property.
