Stayed at this hotel because it was close to the cruise port. Hotel itself is very nice, clean and on the water, however, the price for food and beverages from the bar are extremely high. (Which I guess is expected based on location. $200 price tag for 8 shots, whoa!) Staff was very accommodating and friendly.

Nice hotel a little run down, but was told renovations will be taking place. One thing we didn’t like was the lack of lighting in the room. We found it dark and had to use our phone light to search for stuff inside bags. Gorgeous views at breakfast.

We left two days early. We were woke on our second day with the trees being trimmed before 8AM right outside our door. We have pictures. We accidentally knocked over a water glass. When cleaning it up the towel came away from the floor black. The entire floor of the room was not clean. The hotel said we would have to get a refund from Expedia but have yet to figure out where on the app to do so.

Had a fantastic stay at Hotel Maya! I have been reading the reviews before I left and they were mixed, however, in reality, everything was wonderful! When we checked in at 10PM, we noticed that our room safe was not operational. We talked to the front desk and they sent a repairman within 10 minutes! The room itself was a bit dated but very nice! (They are updating the hotel section by section) It was also surprisingly quiet. We had people knocking and we couldn't hear it. In terms of the facilities: We used the bar right off the bat as well as for morning cappuccinos and the bartender was amazing and very attentive! We also had a few meals in the restaurant. The food was delicious and the services was quick and attentive. The hotel also has a wonderful pool and hot tub, which was a lovely touch. All in all, where possible, I will be trying to stay at Hotel Maya again!

I was assisted from the planning -- to the greeting in the lobby with courtesy and professionalism! My VIP clients were treated as such and every little attention to detail was noticed by the group. The dinner was top notch as was the breakfast ---- the views were AMAZING!
