I do not know if Travelocity is to blame for this, or the property. What I do know is I spent countless hours researching hotels, making sure the few "deal breakers" (either a kitchen or breakfast, pool, and free parking). Traveling to California, I knew parking was the most important aspect, because parking is scarce and costly. Though the room was $500 for 3 nights, the website said parking included. When we checked in, we were informed parking was $19 per day - basically $60 for the 3 nights. The reason I paid $500 for my stay was the parking would be free. And of course, once we were there, we had no proof the website said "parking included." Additionally, there was a rave being held a block away - and half naked people were walking the hotel and coming in at midnight because many of them were staying at the hotel. The room I booked also said free balcony - we were put in the back of the building, so the balcony overlooked nothing - just the brick wall of the building next door - that was about 10 feet away. Breakfast was a descent variety, but the quality of the food was NOT impressive by any means. On the night of the Rave, there was nowhere to park in parking lot - even though we were charged a ridiculous fee for parking. Nice enough hotel if I had paid about $80 a night - DEFINITELY not worth almost $600 for 3 nights! Travelocity should reimburse the $60 for parking, per they misled the consumer about this cost.

Always excellent

Always clean and comfortable. My only concern was the pillows. They always seem to be too hard. Many hotels give you multiple choices in firmness.

Great surprise

I was very impressed with this BW. Great room and great service. It must have been re-done very recently with a clean modern decor. I saved a bunch walking a couple of blocks to the expensive hotel where my conference was and this was much closer to good restaurants. Also a Vons is a block away.

Nice hotel, be prepared for extra expences.

I purchased this stay because my girlfriend was coming to town and I wanted to avoid my roommates. I told her we had a balcony and we made cute little plans to sit out there and drink coffee and watch the cars drive by. Even talked about having our meals on the patio because it was going to be so nice and she was traveling from a rainy area. When I arrived to check in the room looked great everything was very clean. I walked out to the balcony only to find a dark alley with a few dumpsters and a massive building so close you could spit on it. There was no view of anything and it actually felt uncomfortable being there because all of the people in the building across were basically there with you. I paid extra for a balcony and it was advertised as a cute Street side romantic looking balcony. Complete waste of money I never went out there after the first look.

Is there a security problem?

Question: What is one of the worst possible security problems one can find at a hotel. Could the answer possibly be: Direct elevator access from a publicly accessible underground parking garage to the guest room floors without requiring key card access? Hmmmm.
