"Beautiful lodge house with fantastic countryside views. Stayed in the Bonnie Prince Charlie suite which was amazing. The window overlooking the side of the lodge affords a great view of a variety of wild birds including Woodpeckers as they feed on the bird feeding station. To great surprise a rare red squirrel also visited! Nice large continental breakfast that couldn't be finished. Nice change from the standard cooked breakfast often served by B and Bs. Large communal lounge sitting room with large traditional stone fireplace and TV. The owner Mark is a friendly guy who ensures everything is all good during your stay. The location is a little of the main roads but still within easy car access to the two restaurants available in loch Ness area. Outside table dining area couldn't be used due to rain spoiling play. Great area if weather is fine. Free onsite car parking. Not sure what more can be said. The photos on the booking site do not do the lodge justice. If back in the area I will try and return."
