Stayed here for a gig in Liverpool, in terms of the hotel building and furnishings, it's starting to show it's age a little, could do with a refurb, however for the cheap price we paid, I didn't mind it. Staff were absolutely lovely from start to finish, 10-15 mins walk to the nearest Merseyrail station for links into Chester and Liverpool. Overall would recommend if you're looking for somewhere cheap and cheerful in the Wirral.

What a lovely 2 night stay at the Royal Oak. All the staff are so nice, nothing is too much trouble. The room was a good size and comfortable. The pub restaurant is huge so no need to book. We had Sunday lunch, I had the 2 meat roast, beef and turkey which was tender and delicious. We will certainly use this place again when we're in the area. Big thanks to the Royal Oak!

This hotel was perfect for our overnight stay. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and go out of their way to help. Our room was clean and comfortable. The only downside was the bathroom which although clean needed a refurb as there was mould all over the ceiling, a crack in the sink, etc.
