Red Roof Inn Marion, IN
"The “Lobby” was vacant until I knocked on the counter, with random boxes and crap piled up behind and around it. If I didn’t know better I would’ve thought the place was shut down. Man who appeared after I knocked barely spoke English. Parking lot was a cratered mess. At night, several men loitered around outside the rooms smoking (various things) with what seemed like not a lot going on. Once in the room I didn’t want to touch anything. Towels were dirty - stains, sandpaper, paper thin…. Same with the bedsheets - yellowed in the middle etc. Heat/AC unit didn’t work at all. I walked into my room around 9:00 pm and got out by 7:30. Slept in my clothes and never even turned on the lights that night - didn’t want anyone knowing I was there based on the men wandering around just outside the door. Definitely one of the most disgusting places I’ve stayed."
