Well, I have been to this place now over 12 times over 3 years. And it has been a fantastic place to stay. The Innkeeper John Truitt goes well beyond any expectation to ensure your stay is memorable. The only sad part is John has sold this place and the closing is set for May 24, 2023. Thank you John.

Well the new owners are going to keep it open. So I'm sure they'll do a great job keep the standards up.Who knows I may come back to visit and stay here myself.

An extremely beautiful location. The host was super attentive. If you want something different than a normal hotel room then this is the place to go.

John is very responsive to requests. Great breakfasts and lively conversations. A hook to hold the shower head would be nice and the hot/cold water situation in the bathroom sink needs attention. Other than that, I’d highly recommend The Old Parsonage B&B.

Hi Debbie, Well I replaced the bathroom pedestal sink today with a beautiful marble top vanity with plenty of hot and cold running water! You would love it! Next will be a walk in shower, but that may take a while since I left my evening job recently.... See you again John

Outstanding Value!

I travel a lot, and usually end up staying in the usual cookie-cutter chain hotel rooms. I found this B&B on the internet and decided to try something different. VERY glad I did. Absolutely charming, and beautifully decorated historical home with well appointed rooms and top notch customer service by John - the proprietor and chef. I enjoyed a great night's sleep in a wonderful room, and awoke to enjoy a perfectly prepared breakfast. John takes the time to get to know his guests, and we had a wonderful conversation during breakfast. I highly recommend the Old Parsonage - it's the best value in the area by far.

Our stay at The Old Parsonage.

My daughter and I stayed at the old parsonage in Leechburg PA so that we could attend her graduation from IUP in Indiana, PA. The room was charming, spotlessly clean, and interesting. John, the owner, is a one-man show, cooking, cleaning, and graciously hosting. We had a great time and would definitely recommend the old parsonage

Nice get away!

Pros: The town is really old and the history is amazing. John went out of his way to make us comfortable.
Cons: We staying the Olympus Room and the bed was smaller than we had anticipated and the room was super dark. It was very hard to see in the room at night.
Location: We went to see a couple of festivals and some places of history. We only stayed 3 nights, but I would have liked to stay longer.
We really enjoyed our stay in the area; John really gave us great ideas of things to do. He did a great job making us feel comfortable in his home. Breakfast was great! John is a great host.
