This was one of many stays my family of five has had at a Holiday Inn Express. Unfortunately this time we were not met with the same standard of stay. On our second night in the hotel we discovered a large collection of ants at the foot of one of our queen beds. These ants were coming out from under the bed. When reported immediately to the manager we were offered another room, and a minimal apology. We had to move five people and all our belongings at a very inconvenient time, shake out all our bags and calm upset children. No compensation for the inconvenience was offered and it was handled very unprofessionally overall. Upon checking out on the second day and being asked how our stay was…. It was brought to the hotel staffs attention again by myself the inconvenience and uncomfortableness of the situation and a very minimal compensation of $80 was removed from our over $800 bill. Very disappointed in this overall experience and how it was handled. As repeat customers we will seriously consider where we stay from now on !
