"Our stay at 14 West Boutique Hotel met the baseline expectations for a 3-star property, with a few notable highlights and drawbacks. The biggest selling point is definitely the location. It is incredibly convenient and makes exploring the best parts of Laguna Beach very easy. We did run into a brief issue at check-in when our first room had an overwhelmingly strong smell of chemical detergent or bleach. Fortunately, the staff was very accommodating and responsive—they changed our room immediately without any hassle. The second room was clean, comfortable, and everything went smoothly for the rest of our stay. Keep in mind that while it is labeled a "boutique hotel," the exterior-corridor layout feels much more like a traditional motel. If you adjust your expectations for a solid 3-star motel-style property in an excellent location, it is a perfectly fine choice. Pros: Fantastic location, helpful and quick-acting staff, clean second room. Cons: Strong initial chemical odor in the first room; overall vibe and layout lean heavily toward a motel."

"We did not stay! It was not clean and smelled dirty. We could hear everything in the room next to ours especially the TV. Unfortunately i paid and we are having a hard time with a refund! The only good thing was Nathan, the guy at the desk! He kept trying to make us happy but we just had to leave! It is old and the rooms are really small."

"The cleanliness and decor were second to none. Immediately felt relaxed and excited for our stay upon entering room. Loved having direct access to pool from room and the views were spectacular. Perfect location to walk to everything. Would 100% stay and recommend this place to stay again!"
