The online 1-star rating is not really justified. Although basic, this place is worth the $55 fee. The Hotels.com experience is to be avoided, they overcharged on the rate. "Stayed at Villa Coco in Santa Catalina with a group of five of us in a suite and had an incredible experience. The property itself is beautiful — the grounds are peaceful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and everything feels really well cared for. The staff were outstanding from start to finish: friendly, accommodating, and genuinely welcoming. The food was excellent, and being able to borrow bikes to explore the area was such a great touch.
The location is also ideal — nicely tucked away so it feels calm and private, yet still perfectly situated between both ends of town so everything is easy to get to.
Overall, this place is amazing and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Santa Catalina."
