Excellent hotel, nice and clean. Staff were attentiveness, provided extras (nice little treat) when purchasing. Spa is open from 9am-9pm which again was good after a days walking the hills. Great location, right in the centre of Chamonix The street can be loud, (UTMB was being held the week we were there) however we were provided with ear plugs. Highly recommended a Mountain View, just stunning

We can't say enough about the Grand Hotel Des Alpes. Centrally located in town, so made it easy to visit local shops and phenomenal restaurants (e.g. Atmosphere, Rose de Pont and Matafan, all highly recommended). Skiing to each of the 4 resorts was made easy through the hotels shuttle service. Picks you up at the hotel and drops you off at the slopes. Then returns you. Both to and from are on a schedule you decide. Staff was amazing. Little positives like sweets in the early afternoon and savory snacks in the late afternoon were a very nice surprise.
