Staff were so welcoming and helpful. Carried our bags for us. Rooms were spacious which was good as our other hotels were quite small. Didn’t have breakfast there so can’t comment on that. It’s a bus ride of 20 minutes to get to the major shops. Busses don’t come often and do get packed very quickly.

Great stay

Great place to stay. The staff were very nice and helpful. It was convenient that there is a grocery store right next to it. The hotel offers free shuttle service to golden pavilion and bamboo forest, two popular tourist spots. The driver is very helpful and nice. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was great, good price and delicious variety of food. They have high chair available at the dining area.

We had a great stay at this hotel in Kyoto City! The place is very clean, modern, and comfortable. The staff are nice, friendly, and always willing to help. I used the laundry room during our stay and noticed the detergent was out—after letting the staff know, they immediately refilled it and even refunded the money so I could rewash my clothes properly. Really appreciated their attentiveness and great service. Overall, an excellent and convenient place to stay while exploring Kyoto!

I love this hotel because it was really close to the bus and subway station. They offer free shuttle to the golden temple and bamboo forest which is a nice feature although we didn’t get a chance to try it because we wanted to start our sightseeing really early. I rated 3 stars for cleanliness due to the bugs/mosquitos found in our room and at the hotel lobby. Other than this minor issue, everything else was excellent.

Great location, just a block from the main Metro line, north of downtown but just south of the Imperial Palace, and just east of Nijo Castle; an easy walk to top eateries, shops, and temples, and easy bus or train to anywhere in the area. Lovely modest facility, at very reasonable prices, with friendly staff offering excellent service, including in English. Rooms were small (as are most in this densely settled country), but quite comfortable. Many pleasant surprises, like free daily shuttles to and from top area sites (Kinkaku-ji / Golden Palace shrine, and Arashiyama's bamboo forests and Tenryu-ji temple), and a free tasting of three kinds of sake each evening. We had a great stay; strongly recommend.
