We’ve stayed here last year so Ilike to stay in familiar places. This time our room had a sewer gas smell. The Manager moved us one floor above the first room. Less smell, but not very fresh. The property needs some repairs, a deep clean and upgrades.

The room was loud with mechanical sounds, it was cold upon entering the room so I turned the ac off for about an hour. Then when I turned it on and lowered the temp from 72-69 it came on for 2 seconds and that was it. I kept lowering the temp to cool the room but it would come on for a few seconds at a time. Wifi was open so no code needed. The pages were slow to load and movies would buffer. Breakfast was ok, meat gravy, sausage, biscuits and waffles were it for a hot breakfast. Usually eggs are an option but not here.

When we arrived, we waited at the front desk for 20 minutes while staff was not on premises. They literally parked and walked in with food 20 minutes after we arrived. Called the after hours number 15 times with no response. Room was hot and would not cool down. Room was dirty, especially the bathroom. Will not stay here again!

The room: Lamp shades had mold. I had them replaced. The refrigerator had black stains in the freezer section. The bathroom was fairly clean. Breakfast: There was over an hour left and the breakfast items were mostly empty. No gravy for biscuits and gravy, one biscuit. No drinks other than coffee.

Front desk was unmanned and we waited a long time to check in. Keys did not work and we had to return to desk and wait again for help after being on the road 9 hours. Breakfast had a severe lack of choices so we left without eating.

Room was clean. Staff was very friendly. Could use some updating. Ceiling had blue paint along an edge from where the wall had been painted. Still the room was clean. Pillows were harder than our liking. Bed was comfortable aside from the pillows.

I was told I could not use the pool until 8:00 am but then there would not be enough time to get a pool workout in and a shower by their check-out time, as well as fact that I needed to be on the road by 8 am. Very disappointing. The restaurant nearby was very dirty. Also the hotel was located too far off I-70 which added miles to my trip. I would not use this hotel again. The staff was nice.
