We have stayed at Ko Alina Beach Villas seven times. This is our second time staying at this villa (BT309), and we have already booked the villa for next year. The villa is super clean, has modern furniture, and plenty of kitchenware. The villa has beach chairs, a wagon, and lots of beach toys. The beach and ocean views from the lanai (balcony) are incredible. We can’t wait to return!

The condo and the amazing view is so nice that you never want to leave! It’s immaculate and I don’t think you can be this close to the beach with palm trees and a gorgeous view anywhere else in Hawaii. Priceless!

Amazing views!

Wonderful property with stunning view. Check in was seamless and any contact we needed was convenient and timely. We were 4 adults and 2 teens and had plenty of room and the unit had everything anyone would need to feel right at home. Would absolutely recommend staying here!

Amazing stay for the family

The property was amazing, the lagoon was absolutely perfect for the kiddos, and the view breathtaking for the adults. It did take awhile to go anywhere, about 40 minutes to Honolulu depending on traffic, which was the only 4 star I could think of. I would definitely rent from them again if we ever came back to Oahu.

The view was amazing. The condo had everything you wanted. If it didn’t, Emily provided us with it. Great security. The lights are a little confusing. We loved sitting on the lanai and watching the sun melt into the ocean.

This unit is in the perfect location with ocean front views! Just Beautiful!

Loved the location of this unit - breath-taking 180 degree ocean views - on the 3rd level just over the bar hut where you could hear the 2x/wk ukulele entertainment. The property is well maintained and clean. Kitchen stocked with plenty of dishes, pots/pans, etc. The appliances are high-end and the property has several BBQ's. We cooked something, almost daily. At night, the place is quiet and relaxing. Will definitely book another stay!

Everything was amazing, the only thing that I was disappointed in was the robes were horrible and the water was freezing but you can’t do much about that except heat the water in the pool. I would’ve thought for that much money, the robes would’ve been new and soft instead of old and hard.

Location Location

The location is absolutely beautiful. The view and location of the beach was perfect. The bed was very comfortable and the overall condo was in great shape. Very clean. The only small complaint was that the internet kept dropping out while trying to work remotely. This could be frustrating as I would have to reconnect several times during one sitting which interrupted the process and extended the amount of time I needed to be online and less time enjoying my vacation. Overall I managed to make it all work and still had a wonderful vacation. Thank you so much.

Beautiful property and excellant location

We loved our stay at the Ko Olina Beach Villas. The property was just as advertised and all the furnishings and supplies were first class. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating to our every need. Easy walk to the Disney and Marriott properties for restaurants/bars. Although we weren't travelling with small children, the property seemed be very family friendly. We put 800 miles on our rental car for the week (which is more than many Hawaiin's probably put on their cars in a year) so there is a LOT to enjoy on Oahu. Would certainly book this villa/property in the future. Only downside (because we always like to hear the negative), although it's great to sleep to the sound of the waves crashing at night with the doors open, be careful of the mosquitos bugging you at night. Also, no computer/business center to print out boarding passes at the Villa's. Although the front desk offered to print them out if you email them the info. No biggie..... :-)

Awesome!

This is simply a great 2 bedroom pad! Its high end quality finishes make the stay super comfortable, the beach is fantastic for kids (and the quietest of the 4 lagoons) the beach walk is awesome for running, the entire facility is super and the location is great! We explored the entire island from here (if you're careful about when you are driving on Oahu, you can get anywhere without too much traffic) The only 2 issues I had and were not enough to change the stars were: 1) although the sunsets are visible from this lanai, the sun (at least in winter months) stays on the other side of the building - I like to have some sun in the late afternoon. 2) the Ko Olina area is in need of more food options - I'm sure this will change in the future - it will have to if the vacant lots fill with other hotels or condo units. The area is still under developed but is reminiscent of higher end areas on Maui. If you are coming to Oahu, this is the area to stay and this Unit will not disappoint!

Beautiful Condo and View

Cons: 1. Separate charges - I would have preferred the VRBO tax and extra cancellation and damage insurance charges to be on the original Ola Properties invoice instead of appearing on my Master Card statement. - I had to pursue CSA Travel Protection to obtain paperwork for the additional insurance I purchased 2. Condo was a huge distance from the elevator - I explained that my sisters could not walk a long distance when I booked the condo. My sisters managed the walk but were exhausted. Everyone at VRBO and Ola Properties should be aware of stairs and walking distances required for disabled people. 3. Was charged for a broken key - The battery had died in the door lock of the condo. We did not know this and inadvertently broke the key in trying to open the door to the condo. I did not like being charged for the broken key. Pros: 1. Lovely condo and view: appreciated the kitchen, bath and beach supplies. 2. Helpful staff and nice area, despite being a little secluded: felt safe. 3. Some great local attractions: liked the Monkeypod Kitchen, Roys, Paradise Cove Luau and Island Country Markets. We would recommend the condo to others.

Mostly great

The view and proximity to the lagoon is wonderful. We loved how the doors opened all the way allowing for an open air villa. The view is absolutely beautiful. You can watch the sunset over the ocean every night. There is a well stocked supply of beach equipment to use, which is really convenient and nice. There was some hair left in the tub when we arrived and a couple other little things, but it was mostly very clean and nice inside. The arrival tour was a bit much. I would suggest either waiting until guests are settled or making it way less long and detailed. After a six hour flight with a 4am wake up, none of needed to hear about every restaurant, bar, and activity let alone get extremely detailed instructions on every single appliance in the villa. Pointing out the manual that contains that info would be better. The parking spot is a joke. We couldn't physically get into our car when we returned to it. The spot is way too small. We had to send our child through the back hatch to turn it on and luckily our vehicle has the option to back up remotely. Absolutely ridiculous to even offer this spot without disclosing the fact that it renders your vehicle useless if the other spaces on either side are occupied by other vehicles. The paper said to talk to the front desk if there was an issue, but all they do is tell you that you can pay extra to park somewhere else. We just left our car in the EV charging space since we had to charge every night anyway.

Nice beachfront villa but not typical vrbo experience

First off this is a nice beachfront villa. It worked well for our family. It was just a bit weird in that we rent vrbos quite a bit and usually there is a detailed check in process and check out process or someone to ask quick questions during your stay. Here apparently there is a rental property company but they didnt do anything. They provided zero value. We asked about the check in process and they provided nothing. Apparently they were supposed to meet us and show us the room but didnt do that. We figured out the front desk would just give us the keys and do the check in. There was an Alexa in the room but it didnt help much. It was good for playing music. We had no idea how the check out process went. We had family in other units who had check out times of 12 noon. Ours apparently was 10 am based on a one page flyer on the counter with the wifi info. We called and texted the day before and asked to have 11:30 or 12 noon checkout time. No response. We called the morning of and they picked up and said we'll get back to you and no response. Great property but its like you have to figure everything out yourselves. If the owner of this unit is reading this... you're not getting what you're paid for with these Ola properties people. They provide zero value. We have a baby and asked them if there was a pack and play in the unit and they texted a link to rent them. We bought one at target upon arrival and when we got to the unit it had two pack and plays (cribs) in the closet. They were zero help. Nice villa but if you want a host that helps chose a different unit. We had family in another unit and their host was available and checked in on them and very accommodating. Would definitely stay here again because we loved the place but not if its managed by Ola properties.

Wonderful vacation spot and unit!

This was our first time in Ko'Olina - the location, unit, and the resort did not disappoint and exceeded our expectations. The onsite amenities for this resort are adequate and above average for a condo complex that had multiple hot tubs and two good size pools with a special wading pool for kids. There was also a small bar with live music in the evenings and is exclusive to the beach villas/not open to the public (happens to be below this unit, which was cool to listen to the music, but not great smelling cigar smoke in the evening). Obviously, this is not a hotel so no onsite restaurant, but that is what we were wanting. It's a short walk to the nearby hotel resorts with restaurants - you can see the vibe at those resorts is very BUSY compared to the beach villas. The lagoon in front of the beach villas is public (as all beaches in Ko'Olina are), but it is the smallest and the least busy of all of them from what we saw. The koi pond is huge and a great attraction for children. This unit has the unique advantage of being as close to the ocean as you can get in all of Ko'Olina, which comes with breathtaking views of the ocean, beach, and sunsets. The minor disadvantages may be less privacy from the lanai since the unit fronts the beach side and is on the third floor (vs an upper floor unit) and being on the west side of the building, the breathtaking sunsets bring the sun directly into the unit for several hours in the late afternoon and it can get uncomfortably hot (even with doors closed, shade down, and A/C running). We didn't enjoy as many sunset dinners on the lanai as we had hoped for this reason. We were traveling with small children and felt the unit was decorated in a way that is family friendly. Staying in a VRBO condo with small children can be stressful when units are cluttered with expensive and/or fragile decor, which was not an issue in this unit. A prior review indicated there was a portable crib and booster/high chair - when we reached out prior to our stay to confirm, we were told the unit did not have that equipment so we brought our own. It turns out that the unit had several portable cribs and a booster/high chair in the closet. Would have been great to have accurate information to avoid having to bring them from home, but it worked out fine for us as we are used to traveling with those items. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and look forward to visiting this complex again in the future.
