Secluded, but yet close

Stayed here on a business trip. Clean, quiet, and excellent service. The staff was very friendly. Because of its secluded location, the hotel was quiet. It was a short taxi ride to Patong and ~45 minutes to the airport. The pool is large and will keep the kids busy. The breakfast buffet has fresh fruit, juices, and plenty of made-to-order choices. The hotel has a security at the entrance of their driveway -- 24 hours. Did I mention the staff was very friendly?

Hotel is down a small dirt road, near lots of construction. You have to cross a busy road to get to the beach but it's only a 5 minute walk (not too bad). The hotel rooms are a bit run down and I would not rate this hotel as a 5-star. Food at the hotel is very expensive, compared to everywhere else we stayed throughout Thailand. The hotel staff was lovely which was a huge plus. The pool area is nice but very busy with kids and they even had a poolside movie playing in the evening. This resort was full of families with young children because of the kids club but surprisingly it was not noisy in our room. That being said, I would not recommend this place for a couples getaway. We were there only for one night so it was not an issue but I would not have enjoyed an extended stay at this hotel. For young families, I am sure this is a well-suited hotel. Kamala beach is a long beach with lots of restaurants and easy water access for children.
