We have stayed here on our trips from KY to NY several times. It’s not as expensive as the Hampton that we used before—and it’s been quite adequate. Now, they upgraded it quite a bit! Pleasant surprise! They have a new lounge/bar, but we didn’t go. Maybe on the way back we’ll go and play some pool.

Decent for a one night stay

I booked the hotel randomly after a snowstorm forced me to pull off the turnpike at night in Somerset. The staff was very friendly and breakfast wasn’t bad…traditional hotel breakfast: liquid scrambled eggs and sausage with bagels, bread, muffins, fruit, waffles, yogurt…etc. The bed was very uncomfortable and made a lot of squeaking noise when I moved, but it made due for one night. The room itself could use some updates, but it’s not a fancy hotel so I wasn’t really expecting it to be. The heat in the room was set to tropics, even though I kept turning it down. It was hot and stuffy, but at least it worked. Overall, for why I paid it wasn’t bad.

A Comfortable Stay

There are a lot of hotel options in Somerset, PA from higher end to lower. For me the Comfort Inn fit what I needed and wanted to spend. I called to see if an early check in might be available, the woman who answered was friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Check in when I did arrive was simple and efficient. The room was great. My only complaint was the power outlet situation at the desk. The outlet was a bit older and my computer charger kept falling out. The desk lamp didn't have plug ins or USB adapters as many do now (the bedside lamp did however) so I was forced to rig something up. I found I could keep the charger in by moving the desk against it, basically pinning the charger to the outlet. Not a great situation but it worked. Other than that, everything was all good and I would return for another stay. As an added bones, the hotel does offer a discount coupon for dining at the Pine Grill - a good nearlby restaurant.

The hotel lacked basic checks for the room before giving it to guests. The toilet was not flushing well and got clogged. The microwave was not working for the room.

Very satisfied and would recommend to anyone.

We checked in in the early morning in need of a bed to get better rest than our vehicle. The service was very good. We slept exceptionally well. We had breakfast in the morning which was satisfying. I noticed a charge that wasn't correct on my banking app and I called about it and the front desk was extremely helpful and prompt to correct the mistake.

Worth the price

I just needed a place to rest my head after being on the road for almost 2 days on a cross multiple states trip and this place fit the bill. The friendly front desk lady gave me a room upgrade and the rest I was in lala land. Only complaint was the breakfast which is like all brands that offer free breakfast, the food leave much to be desired. I got orange juice and toast and call it a day.
