I was extremely pleased the first 3 times I visited. This time was different. I'm disabled. I still cannot do stairs withoit a huge risk of falling. I was given a room where I had to climb stairs or do a lot of walking. The first room she put us in was a no smoking room that reeked of cigarette smoke. The second room had a damp smell but no smoke. That room however needs the rug cleaned. It turned my socks black. The building we were in this time was completely different than the one we stayed in the other times. I had been bragging to all my family members. My mom lives in Telford with my brother and I try to get there once a month. This particular stay was a disappointment.

Our original room was coded as non-smoking but smelled strongly of smoke. When I called the front desk to change rooms, I was told I had to more to a higher priced room but they would give me a discount. I refused to pay more for what I had already been promised (a non-smoking room), so he agreed to move me but continued to try to upsell me 2 more times. He said the higher priced rooms were so much better than where I was staying. The new room had damp carpets and we left the next morning with bug bites all over. I can only assume from bed bugs. When I went back to look at the reviews of this hotel, over 10 of them had been submitted by “Kathrine” with shout outs to specific staff members and several anonymous ones named specific staff members as well. It seems someone is trying to add more positive reviews than there really are.

There needed to be detailed cleaning in the rooms, walls had stuff on them, bedding was old needs updated, bathrooms needed a good detailing before every guest. Housekeeping never came by to clean or check to see if we needed anything. Overnight front clerk was friendly. Didnt have the breakfast, air conditioner worked awesome.

There was (what looked like) black mold along the bottom of the shower, and the padded toilet seat was split open on both sides. There’s no way that can be sanitary! Other than that, the rest of the room seemed clean. No bed bugs that I could find. The neighbors barking dog woke me up about 1 my last night there. Oh, and you wanna fix the leak on the shower. There’s no telling how much water you’re wasting there. the desk clerks (I met) have NO customer service skills. And finally, the homeless people around there made me a little nervous by staring at me. And I do mean STARING. Really creepy.
