Don’t be fooled by the initial pictures. The lodge is beautiful, but the rooms are cabins far away. Also, the heat is stuck on and it was 78 degrees in the room despite being pleasant outside.

The location of the property is fantastic. Service , facilities are very poor. Rooms are cheap motel rooms with a rickety noisy indoor air conditioner and a 15 year old tv. Half the channels display 'no signal' This is NOT Faimont quality by a long shot.

Very good stay.

Very, very nice stay. Some of the amenities are a little dated, like the rough pool & jacuzzi, but really appreciated their availability. The setting is incredible. Staff is fantastic. Food & drinks very pricey. Breakfast buffet is overpriced for the choices available. Found ourselves driving into town for incredible meals for half the price.

Extraordinary historic lodge. The staff were helpful and friendly. The amenities were top notch. We were upgraded to a spacious, private cabin. Our kids enjoyed swimming in the lake (very cold!) and pool. The breakfast buffet was extraordinary. An experience we will remember!

Our unit didn’t have air conditioning. The room was 26 degrees Celsius. By leaving doors and windows open, the temperature dropped to 25degrees. Supposedly, they’re beginning to renovate some of the rooms and when they do, air conditioning will be installed.

Great Stay in Jasper

The suites were very spacious with a great view of the lake. The restaurant offered a great selection of food options. The property also offers activities such as paddle boarding, kayaking, etc The area around he hotel is still pretty devastated from the Jasper fires last year

JPL seems rundown. A legendary property in the Fairmont group, this place deserves some TLC. Additionally, the food with the exception of the small sushi restaurant downstairs is mediocre. My expectations for such a high priced hotel and high priced food and beverage was much higher.

Despite the 2024 wildfire, the property is gorgeous. Staff was helpful and efficient; food was great - brunch was phenomenal; rooms were clean and well-appointed. The only downside was that it's the only hotel we've EVER been to without an icemaker "somewhere" nearby! Needed to call room service any time we wanted ice, which was obviously inconvenient. No other complaints.

The rooms were not ready at check-in (4:35pm) and the manager could see the receptionist struggle and he proceeded to support four other families checking in instead of supporting her and our check-in to three rooms. The receptionist told us that she was happy to offer us other rooms at a cost which felt unreasonable. We had just come from the Fairmont Banff that offers stunning rooms, vistas and value. My daughter was disappointed in that the stables were closed and renting bikes was very expensive. We were told multiple times that they would appreciate our patience since they were restarting from the fires but it felt like it was a one way street. I would recommend day tripping and staying in Banff or perhaps a different hotel.

This is a gorgeous classic hotel in Jasper National Park. We loved our stay there. A few things to note: The rooms/cabins are quite small - there's limited room to walk around the beds, limited drawer space, etc. The room rate is not inexpensive but on-site activities such as bike rentals, kayaks and canoes are not included - so come prepared to spend. The food was good. The burnt forest got very close to this classic - so glad it was saved in the 2024 fires.
