Jarrio Hotel & Travel Guide
Vacationing in Gijon - Asturias Coast and looking to discover interesting spots to stay in Jarrio? There are a small number of options which can be booked on Travelocity's destination page. The center and surrounds of Jarrio lays claim to 4 comfortable apartments and hotels within 6 miles (10 kilometers).
A good option amongst only a handful of Travelocity-listed rooms within walking distance to the centrally located sights of Jarrio, is the Hotel y Apartamentos Arias.
The Blanco Hotel-Spa is about 2 miles (3 kilometers) from the town center of Jarrio. Alternatively, the Hotel y Apartamentos Arias can be found 1 mile (2 kilometers) away. Some other hotel and apartment options in the area include the Turismo Rural Suquin as well as the Casa de Castro.
After you've enjoyed Jarrio, it's worth putting aside some time to visit the many other delights of the Asturias area. If you're a nature lover, be sure to explore Asturias's beaches, coastal plains, forests and rivers. You should also go to the region's castles, churches and cathedrals. Tireless travelers might also try snowboarding in the area.
Looking for more to do? You could spend the day visiting Plaza Mayor and San Lorenzo Beach, which can be found in Gijon, 55 miles (86 kilometers) east of Jarrio. Some of our recommended Gijon rooms include the Abba Playa Gijon 4s and Hotel Don Manuel. Or, you could consider staying in Luanco, 50 miles (78 kilometers) east of Jarrio, where you can choose between the Piedra and El Carmen. The Maritime Museum of Asturias and Church of Santa Maria are a couple of the most frequented attractions to see for those visiting Luanco.
Just because you and your family are on a break, should not mean you can't enjoy your obsession for a day at the stadium. Discover El Molinon 55 miles (89 kilometers) to the east of Jarrio. Any sports fans that are hoping to book a Travelocity-listed hotel near to the action can compare the Alcif or the Hotel Hernán Cortés.

Hotel A. G. Porcillán
"We came to Ribadeo for the 2026 total solar eclipse. We stayed the entire week. Aurora and Israel are fantastic hosts. They answered all of our questions and served us wonderful coffee every morning. Advice for others going to A G Porcillan: 1. Parking. Do not try to park at the hotel when you arrive it will likely be busy. Go to Estacionamiento del Puerto de Ribadeo and park there, then walk to the hotel. It isn't far, there are usually spots open, and it will save you from having to turn around in narrow streets. DO NOT DRIVE THROUGH TOWN! Google Maps will suggest this, don't do it or you will get frustrated! 2. READ THE BOOKLET in your hotel room. It has all sorts of information you can't find on Google, like the nearest grocery store (GADIS, you can walk, they have wine and beer and fresh bread); restaurants that are open all day, sights to see, etc. I wish we had read the booklet before we ventured out on our own the first day. 3. Ask for the room with the BIG BALCONY. Such a relaxing place after a long walk or a drive around the coast. The stray cats on the rooftops were entertaining. And it was cooler out there (the hotel does not have A/C but they provided a standing electric fan). 4. Aurora will provide the paperwork and information to visit Praia as Catedrais. This is very important, that you GO 1 HOUR BEFORE LOW TIDE. If you go after low tide you might get kicked off the beach. Trust your hosts. Love to Aurora and Israel! --Sarah and Adam"
