We booked online right before arrival so I called ahead to let them know we were coming. I was politely informed they overbooked and not to bother coming. We went to a different hotel, it was the middle of the night and we had four little kids to worry about. I didn’t have time to contact Travelocity. Not even a full 3 days later I asked for a refund and although travelocity was efficient and friendly, the hotel denied our refund because we weren’t quick enough to request it, they said. Travelocit had to escalate the claim before we got a refund to a hotel we didn’t stay at.

didn't like that they didn't take cash only debit or credit card. asked for a 1st floor room when booked she said they never read that so had a king on the 2nd floor when unable to open the door to the room after trying numerous times she gave me a room on the 1st floor with 2 doubles I usually ask for king because it is only me and I feel a 2nd bed is wasted she said they only have one housekeeper so it didn't matter. room was not clean pool was a cesspool and closed breakfast bar they were trying

Had I not prepaid and arrived around midnight, I would have left upon entering the first room. The smell of pet urine was overwhelming. I told the desk clerk to find me another room, or I would check out immediately. The second room reeked of disinfectant. When I pulled back the bed cover, I found human hair on the sheets. There was a dead wasp on the floor inside the doorway. The bathtub was badly stained. If this motel was a 3.5 star rating, I can only imagine what horrors a 3.0 star rating motel holds for a guest. I will be very skeptical of any reviews on your site in the future. And, I will definitely never stay at a La Quinta Inn again.

Black mold

The toilet leak and continued to run. I opened the tank cover to attempt to to fix the leak and discovered black mold. I reported this to the hotel desk. They apologized. Black mold is very unhealthy and signifies a lack of cleanliness and attention to detail

Great Price, Lackluster Facility

Pros: It allows pets, the staff was friendly, and a good location
Cons: It needs to be updated/repaired.
Location: It's close to the mall and on a main interstate highway
While having a good location, allowing pets for free, and a low price overall are positives, the negatives of this location are a deterrent. In no particular order, the following issues need to be addressed. Unfortunately, to me this means a full scale renovation: Lobby small and cramped with bathroom directly across from elevator - literally hear someone in there when waiting for elevator; elevator doors sounded like they were going to fall off and may not close; odor throughout halls; door to room needed to be "lifted" and pushed/pulled to engage latch... frame was visible wobbly and door had crack showing light all around when closed; sink and tub both would not drain water at an acceptable rate; at least one bed had bad springs and angled to one side; creaking in ceiling from people in room above just walking around; bathroom was right; toilet ran and had to shake handle to get it to stop. Felt like an old run-down apartment building.

Convenient

Nice to be within close proximity of the highway. Easy on and off. Hotel was substandard. Nothing flashy and could use a thorough wall to wall cleaning. Ice machines did not supply ice. Had to find other resources. Breakfast was enough to get us on the road. Waffle mix was not good. Orange juice was watery. Front desk folks were nice.

OK for older hotel

Pros: The staff was excellent. Room clean and comfortable.
Cons: Nothing wrong with hotel. Just kind of drab , especially after the LaQuinta we had spent the last several days in in Irving,TX.
Location: Just off I40. Plenty of restaurants around this exit.

easy to reach off the interstate

Pros: nice for the money
Nice hotel for the price. Breakfast was satisfactory. Easy to get to from the interstate. Recommendation from front desk staff for dinner was excellent.
